Justin Bieber ‘Banned’ From Contacting Selena Gomez In Rehab, But Wants To Help Her?

Even though Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are in an “off” phase of their on-again, off-again romantic relationship, the term “Jelena” for some fans still sums up the ultimate love. However, Gomez recently has been struggling, while Bieber has been busy with his tour and, for awhile, gal pal Sofia Richie.

Sharing her challenges with fans, Selena revealed that she was taking time off as a result of anxiety and depression linked to her lupus, and she subsequently checked into rehab. And while Gomez remains in the treatment center, Justin reportedly has been “banned” from getting in touch with his former girlfriend.

The shocking news that Justin allegedly is not allowed to contact Selena in rehab comes in the wake of her announcement clarifying why she was taking time off, noted the Hollywood Gossip.

Gomez’s announcement occurred at the end of August, and she told fans that following her revelation a year ago that she has lupus, she has come to recognize that the autoimmune disease’s side effects including depression and anxiety.

“I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks, and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

Consequently, in order to turn her attention to her “health and happiness,” Selena revealed her plan to take time off.

“You know how special you are to me,” she told fans, adding, “I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best.”

Gomez currently is staying at a rehab facility in Tennessee, and a source cited by the Hollywood Gossip revealed that Bieber is not allowed to reach out to her.

“[Selena’s family] recently reached out to Justin and told him to stay far, far away.”

In addition, her family informed Bieber that he is “banned from calling, texting, emailing, or visiting her,” added the insider, who also revealed that Gomez’s family is blaming Justin “for much of her downward spiral.”

This isn’t the first report that Selena suffered a “downward spiral,” with Life & Style also linking Gomez’s issues to Bieber.

Selena and Justin battled on Instagram after he chided his fans for being hostile to Sofia Richie, who he was dating at the time. Gomez suffered when she saw the photos of Bieber looking so happy with Sofia, an insider told Life & Style.

“It was really hard for her,” explained the source.

“She saw Justin looking so happy and that really sent her into a downward spiral.”

In addition, the insider revealed that Selena told friends she was feeling “backed into a corner” because of Bieber’s romance with Richie.

However, Sofia and Justin split after spending just six weeks as a couple, reported People. During those six weeks, Bieber battled with fans over their hostility toward Richie, and Selena joined the Instagram war by siding with those fans.

“Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you and supported you before any one ever did,” posted Gomez.

“It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad,” responded Bieber.

But in the wake of that battle between the exes, Justin and Richie broke up.

“These girls all go crazy for him, but he’s not settling down,” a source told People. “It’s virtually impossible where he’s at in his life and career for anything to last with these girls.”

But is it possible that Bieber still has feelings for Gomez? Now magazine reported that Justin is trying to help her and wants to “cover all her treatment costs as she battles depression and lupus,” even though they had that war of words on Instagram.

“They say you never get over your first love and it seems that’s exactly the case for Justin Bieber,” the media outlet told readers, citing a source who revealed that Justin has been sending money to Selena.

“He’s been sending her hundreds of thousands to pay for everything from private jet bills to the recent stay in rehab.”

As for why Bieber made the decision to send money to Gomez, Now revealed that he is “remorseful” about how he behaved, and his support makes him feel “he’s still part of her life” as well as providing a way for him to apologize.

“This is his way of staying in her life, as well as making himself feel less guilty for screwing her over,” added the insider.

However, Gossip Cop reported that the story that Justin is paying for Selena’s treatment is false. A Gomez insider told Gossip Cop that it is “untrue” that Bieber is footing the bill either for her rehab stay or any other items.
