Taylor Swift And Drake Dating Rumors Continue, Is He Protecting Her From Kanye West And Kim Kardashian?

Are Taylor Swift and Drake dating?

Earlier this month, Taylor Swift was one of many celebrity guests at the 30th birthday of the rapper, and ever since she was spotted at Delilah in West Hollywood, California, where Drake’s birthday party was held, she’s been romantically linked to him.

Although Taylor Swift just recently split from Tom Hiddleston after enjoying a summer fling with the actor and Drake is also newly single after his split from Rihanna, many believe there could be something in between them. In fact, one particular report claims that Drake is so taken by Taylor Swift that he’s actually attempted to mediate the ongoing tension between her and Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.

Earlier this year, West released his now-infamous track “Famous,” which features a lyrics about having sex with Swift and making her famous. At the time, West claimed to have the approval of Swift, but shortly after it was released, her people denied she was on board with the single.

Due to Swift’s denial of being involved, West immediately faced backlash but months later, West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, released proof of Swift’s approval of the song in the form of a Snapchat video. Since then, Swift has received tons of backlash herself.

Aside from the dating rumors plaguing Taylor Swift and Drake, a source days ago claimed the rapper has grown extremely protective of the singer and doesn’t want to see her publicly hurt by West and Kardashian any longer.

“Drake texted Kanye and asked him, politely, to tell his girl to back of [Taylor Swift],” a source told Hollywood Life on October 29. “Drake stays on social media like it’s a job and is aware of Kim’s jab. He told Ye that he’s cool with him and Kim, but Taylor could use a little more respect.”

“[Taylor Swift]’s become like his little sister and he’s found himself protecting her and doesn’t think Kim should be petty by trying to get underneath [Taylor]’s skin,” the site continued. “Drake doesn’t know if Ye read the text yet but he’s definitely asking him and Kim to pump their brakes on the Taylor jabs.”

In recent months, Taylor Swift has kept an extremely low profile when it comes to her career. In addition to failing to release any new music this year, aside from “This is What You Came For,” which she wrote with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris but didn’t sing on, Swift participated in just one performance and she wasn’t seen on the red carpet as much as fans are used to seeing her.

Although Taylor Swift appeared to be taking some time off earlier this year, she wasn’t completely missing from the spotlight. In fact, her love life has been a hot topic for the past several months due to the drama surrounding her relationships with Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston. As fans will recall, Taylor Swift began dating Hiddleston in June just weeks after splitting from Harris after 15 months together.

Amid Taylor Swift’s relationship drama and highly-publicized feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, fans have been taking guesses as to when the singer will release a new album. Because Swift has released new music every two years since the start of her career, fans are convinced a new album is coming soon and many believed the new music would be released sometime in October. The month, however, has come and gone with no new album and no promise of new music.
