‘Ghost Adventures’ To Air Dark Halloween Special ‘Route 666’: Zak Bagans Sends Message To Other Paranormal Investigators

Ghost Adventures has captivated paranormal fans for years and just when viewers think the investigations cannot get any scarier or more intense, they do. Lead investigator Zak Bagans, along with Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley, and Jay Wasley will travel through Texas in the two hour Halloween special, Route 666. On their journey for this dark episode, Zak and the crew will investigate two locations known for Satan worship. Following the investigations for De Soto Hotel and Concordia Cemetery, Zak and the Ghost Adventures crew will head to investigate a violent demon at Goatman’s Bridge, which allegedly attacked three women.

Leading up to the big night, Zak, Aaron, Billy, and Jay have been talking about the haunting experiences they all had filming this highly-anticipated Halloween special. Each of them has taken to social media numerous times to share their feelings and stories, especially Zak and Aaron. While the Zak and the guys have not given away too many particulars about their lock-downs for this episode, Zak and Aaron have shared some important and scary details about the aftermath the negative forces left with each of them.

Zak Bagans took to his official Facebook to share his personal thoughts about this extremely intense episode and the experiences that have come to haunt them. Bagans revealed that a member of their crew resigned after her experiences from this investigation. She had been employed by Ghost Adventures for many years with no lasting issues until they filmed for the Route 666 special. Zak says she developed an “attachment” after a terrifying experience at one of their locations for this episode. Bagans goes on to say how deeply it effected her and how upsetting it was for him to see her go through such an experience.

“It is a very real and dangerous thing when you put yourself into locations and positions where you want to challenge dark forces AFTER you’ve already been attacked/possessed and I believe that’s how this all started with her,” Zak said.

In his post, Zak sent out a message to other paranormal investigators. Bagans said he hopes other investigators will learn from the Route 666 special and understand that “it is not fun when you try to push the limits too far with locations known to be occupied by demonic entities.” Zak went on to explain the consequences that he and the others face after hunting for evidence of the paranormal.

“We put ourselves in these positions cause we have ALL had and suffered from serious attachments and even possession.” Bagans said these experiences can lead to anxiety, depression, oppression and even extreme paranoia. While the guys know the risks they take are serious, Zak says that isn’t always the safe route.

“When you do challenge these forces you put yourselves and others around you in danger however this is what we do and nothing will change that.”

The majority of the investigations Zak and the Ghost Adventures crew completes are dark and negative. Bagans said the following about the locations they will visit for Saturday night’s epic, terrifying episode.

“Not all locations we do are negative however most of them we choose are. ALL the locations in the ‘Route 666’ special are level 10 dark.” Bagans went on to explain that he and the others choose these dark locations in hopes of pushing the limits in order to gather paranormal evidence. It looks like Zak, Aaron, Billy, and Jay did just that for Route 666.

Aaron Goodwin suffered actual injuries during these particular investigations. Goodwin took to his Instagram to share a photo and explain that the Halloween special will be hard for him to watch. Aaron said the investigation for this episode caused chipped bones in his elbow, damage to his knee joint and “a nightmare that still haunts my dreams to this day.”

Jay Wasley was asked on Twitter what the scariest part of filming the Route 666 special and he replied, “Everything! From start to finish!” Fans won’t want to miss this incredible episode that has forever changed Zak and the Ghost Adventures crew.

“This is a disturbing and scary one guys,” Zak said. Ghost Adventures will air this terrifying Halloween special, which Bagans says is their “darkest journey yet,” on Saturday night at 8 p.m. CST.
