The twist in Episode 6 of FX’s American Horror Story: Roanoke was finally revealed and fans now know that Season 6 will continue on with a reality show version of the My Roanoke Nightmare documentary that featured in the first five episodes of AHS. Return to Roanoke: Three Days in Hell is the reality show and viewers have already been warned that all but a lone participant will survive. But, who will that person be?
While Yahoo! thinks the producer, Sidney (Cheyenne Jackson), could be included in the headcount for participants in the Return to Roanoke show, it is just as likely he is not included. After all, Sidney is producing the show and not participating in it. However, it is possible he could return to the house for a surprise visit during the show and get trapped there with the others. If this is the case, many fans would be happy to see his demise at the hands of the ghosts in the house.
However, if he is included in the headcount alongside Audrey, Dominic, Lee, Matt, Money, and Shelby, and stays away from the house during the blood moon, then he could, very well, be the lone survivor of American Horror Story: Roanoke. If that is the case, fans can expect to see the death of every participant now in the house.
Another possibility for lone survivor of American Horror Story: Roanoke is Agnes. While she had a restraining order slapped on her in Episode 6 of AHS, it didn’t stop her from returning to the house to be a part of the series she had become obsessed with. While she was only seen for a moment in Chapter 6, and the participants were not 100 percent sure it was even her, it could be considered she is near the house because of her obsession with the character she played in My Roanoke Nightmare.
Known as the Butcher, Agnes’ character was a reenactment of one of the ghosts Matt and Shelby witnessed during their time in the haunted house. Agnes became obsessed with her character during filming and had a breakdown afterwards. Could her dedication to this character be the sole reason she survives the real Butcher’s wrath in Season 6 of AHS?
Something interesting to note is the wording in the disclaimer released in the Return to Roanoke series, “every participant in this series died under mysterious circumstances.” While it seems most likely this relates to the Return to Roanoke series, could it also mean the entire series based on Roanoke? That would mean that all of the participants in My Roanoke Nightmare could also be considered for permanent elimination.
In the first five episodes of American Horror Story: Roanoke, there were several other characters included. So, could Flora, Cricket, the Polks, Elias Cunningham, and the Uber guy also be in danger of dying in subsequent episodes of AHS? If this is true, the actors playing all the various ghosts, including the serial killer nurses and the Chens would all be at risk of perishing in Return to Roanoke as well. If this is the case, then viewers can expect a massive death toll in the remaining episodes of AHS: Roanoke.
Of course, the opposite could also be said, in that one of these secondary characters from My Roanoke Nightmare could be the lone survivor. Only by tuning into the remaining episodes of American Horror Story will reveal all.
