Post-Robbery, Kim Kardashian’s ‘Outlook On Life Seems More Positive”

Publicly, Kim Kardashian hasn’t had a whole lot to say since she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris at the beginning of October.

Sure, there has been plenty of speculation and numerous headlines about the incident, but as for an explanation from Kim herself? Nada.

Fans have heard from Kim’s sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, who both said, during different interviews, that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was “not doing great.” Kourtney was the most recent to say so when she spoke on Australia’s Today Extra on Thursday.

In the days since, the narrative surrounding Kim’s mental well-being seems to have changed. In fact, according to an unnamed Kardashian insider for People, Kim is steadily improving.

“She is still figuring out her life. She still has no plans for any work appearances, but her outlook on life seems more positive.”

The source went on to say that the 36-year-old Kardashian “has calmed down a lot since the robbery.”

According to reports, the 36-year-old reality TV star was robbed of more than $10 million in jewelry, including a $4.5 million ring from her husband, Kanye West. Reports indicate that Kardashian was sleeping when masked men burst into her apartment, bound and gagged her, and threw her in the bathtub. At the time, Kim was concerned that she would be assaulted or killed, according to reports.

The KUWTK star escaped the incident physically unharmed, but she’s reportedly faced an uphill battle when it comes to her mental health.

In the weeks since the traumatic event, Kardashian has canceled all of her public appearances, and she’s retreated from social media. Additionally, Kardashian turned 36 on Oct. 21 and opted for a small celebration with family and friends, People reported. In the past, Kim has celebrated her birthday with lavish, over-the-top celebrations.

“Kim had a quiet birthday celebration with Kanye, their kids, her sisters and Kris. It was Kim’s choice to not have a big celebration. She seemed very happy with her decision.”

Perhaps Kim opted to celebrate with her family because it helped her to feel safe. A recent report indicated that Kardashian only feels safe in one place: the Bel-Air mansion she shares with Kanye West and her two children, North and Saint West.

According to reports, Kardashian has not only been reclusive, but she’s refused to film scenes for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kim’s failure to shoot for the show has left many wondering if the future of KUWTK is in danger — especially since rumors of a cancellation began to fly even before Kim’s robbery.

According to a source for E! News, the fact that it’s taking Kardashian some time to move past the robbery shouldn’t come as a surprise.

“This is something that has the potential to screw anyone up for a very long time. It was incredibly frightening and it’s going to take a while to get over it.”

What do you think of the report that Kim Kardashian has a more positive outlook on life since she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris? Do you think it would be healthy for Kim K to stay out of the public light for a while? Why or why not?
