‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Spoilers: Who Did Negan Kill? – This Is Who Died In The Premiere

It’s the episode of any TV show ever that everyone has been waiting for, and it’s the season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead. For months, fans have wanted to know who Negan would end up killing with his trusty barb-wire bat named Lucille. Would it be Rick? Maybe it would be Glenn? Perhaps it was going to be Michonne? No one knew for sure, but tonight, it was finally revealed and it made the Internet absolutely freak out.

Everyone was preparing for it all day, and Fansided even let the world know how it could be watched via live stream as no matter what, fans were going to watch who was killed. Well, who was finally going to be killed after months of waiting.

Please let it be known that there are possible spoilers ahead for the new season and comic book of The Walking Dead. If you don’t want to know them, stop reading now.

When the episode started, everyone expected to see the death happen right away, but AMC is no dummy. They weren’t about to let the suspense die in the first two or five minutes. Fifteen minutes into the season premiere of The Walking Dead and the death had still not been revealed, but there was plenty of teasing going on.

ComicBook went through the possibilities of who could die on Sunday night and how the world would react. Everyone had their own theories and many thought they knew who it would be that was going to end up getting killed.

In the comic book version, the evil newcomer really makes himself known by taking out Glenn right away and in a seriously violent fashion. He absolutely beats Glenn into obscurity with Lucille and it’s one of the most shocking moments of the whole franchise, but the TV series hasn’t always followed along exactly with the graphic novel.

As recapped by Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the episode begins where the Season 6 cliffhanger left off, and it is with Negan in front of the line-up of survivors. He walks up to Rick, who now has blood on his cheek and decides to taunt him.

While the flashbacks continue, it finally gets to the game of “Eenie Meenie Miney Mo” that Negan played with all of the survivors. The music intensifies and he walks through all of them while pointing Lucille in their faces.

Finally, he gets to the point of the final choice and it ends up being pointed directly in the face of…Abraham.

Negan raises Lucille above his head and slams it down hard into the top of Abraham’s head which knocks his face-forward to the ground. The survivor slowly sits back up and looks his attacker right in the face before telling him to “Suck my n**s.”

It is then that the bat slams him in the head again and laughter begins at what Abraham told him. He parades around with Lucille raised out in his hands and shows off for his men. He then returns to Abraham and beats his head to a bloody pulp to finally have the kill completed.

While the survivors stare on with tears in their eyes, Daryl Dixon jumps up and attacks the villain by punching him in the face. Negan’s men tackle him to the ground and Daryl ironically has a crossbow pointed at his head, but it’s not his turn to die.

After the attack by Daryl, the new man in charge says that he told them the “first one was free,” but that they were going to have to pay for them. He is talking to them and many may not have realized it but Glenn was in the spotlights of the cars and right behind Negan.

Then, it really happened.

Lucille was quickly swung in a backwards motion and connected with the face of Glenn in a simply horrifying shot. From that point on, it was just one of the most absolutely horrific and gruesome killings that have ever been seen on television.

Glenn…he is now officially gone. He was officially killed. Many may have thought he died last season when he was trapped under a car and the Walkers surrounded him, but he survived. He survived just long enough to feel the wrath of Lucille.

In this instance, the TV show creators did stay true to the comic book and they did it in absolutely perfect fashion. Not only did they allow the incredibly evil villain to kill the man who was destined to die, but he did it in a matter that caused social media to instantly blow up.

This is a character was also killed in accordance to how he was killed in the comic book and it looked exactly the same too.

The Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead had much more to it, but the main point was to see who ended up being killed when the attack of Lucille was done. Things began with Abraham being killed and the survivors were officially done one big man, but things were far from being over on this night. When the bat swung backwards, Glenn finally took the lethal and fatal hits that fans of the comic book have been waiting years for, and it was brutal.
