‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Fan Favorite Character Confirmed Alive After Early Promo Release

The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere is on Sunday night, and fans are both excited and worried about the fates of their favorite characters. While many fans have theories about which member(s) of Rick’s group will be killed by Negan in the premiere, some fan favorite characters have just been confirmed alive thanks to the early release of an international promo.

According to The Spoiling Dead Facebook page, Fox International has released a promo from Season 7 of The Walking Dead that features Rick, Michonne, and Daryl, confirming that none of them die at the hands of Negan in the premiere. The video shows Rick telling someone, likely the people of Alexandria, that he’s not in charge anymore, and that Negan now holds all the power.

While the promo doesn’t tell much about what’s ahead in Season 7, it does reveal that Rick, Michonne, and Daryl are all alive, which is a huge spoiler. Many Walking Dead fans believed that Daryl may actually be the one to die at the hands of Negan and his bat, but it looks like Norman Reedus’ beloved character will live to fight another day. Sadly, rumors are swirling that Negan will kill not one, but two, members of Rick’s group, and that Abraham Ford and Glenn Rhee will both be dead by the end of the premiere on Sunday night.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, an alleged copy of the Season 7 premiere script leaked and revealed some heartbreaking moments are possibly ahead for fans. The report claims that Negan will choose Abraham out of the line up and beat him to death with his bat. Sadly, Daryl will lash out at seeing Negan kill his friend, and there will be deadly consequences because of it. Negan will reportedly be furious with Daryl’s outburst and chose to take another life because of it. This is when the new villain will reportedly bash Glenn’s head as his wife Maggie looks on.

The promo serves as its own spoiler at a time when the show has gone to great lengths to keep information about the premiere under wraps. TV Guide reports that the series has even hired body doubles of the actors to make it look like certain people are in places that they actually are not. The show’s creator, Robert Kirkman, also revealed that there would be no advanced screeners of the premiere given out in hopes of keeping spoilers at bay. “Extra security measures [have been taken] on distribution and the international dubbing and those things to help prevent the kind of leaks that we’ve had in the past.” However, if the leaked script details are true it looks like the show will have to go back to the drawing board when it comes to keeping spoilers away.

In addition to Negan’s shocking kills, The Walking Dead fans will also reportedly see a huge exchange of power between Rick and Negan. Negan is said to pull Rick into the RV and take him on a little road trip. Negan will push Rick out into a group of walkers and leave him to fend for himself. However, after Rick kills the zombies, Negan will let him back into the vehicle and take him back to the others. This is when the episode allegedly gets even crazier.

Negan will tell Rick that he must cut Carl’s hand off or he’ll kill his son himself with his bat. Rick will beg Negan to take his own hand, but Negan insists that Rick cut off Carl’s arm instead. When Rick realizes that he must do it or Negan will kill Carl, he begins to swing his ax. Thankfully, when Rick succumbs to the idea that he must chop off Carl’s arm, Negan allegedly stops him as he knows that he has broken Rick and taken all of the power.

While no spoilers have been confirmed, it looks like fans will finally know the truth when The Walking Dead returns on Sunday for the Season 7 premiere. What do you think of the new promo?
