Adam Levine Gushes Over New Baby Daughter, Dusty Rose, As He And Wife, Behati Prinsloo, Unload NYC Apartment
Adam Levine is thrilled with his new role as a dad.
Weeks after welcoming his first child, a baby girl, with his wife of two years, model Behati Prinsloo, Adam Levine opened up about parenthood.
“I like to think that parenting is something that we were literally put on this earth to do,” Adam Levine revealed to On Air With Ryan Seacrest on October 13, via Entertainment Tonight.
Adam Levine’s daughter, Dusty Rose Levine, arrived on September 21, one day after she was due. A short time later, Adam Levine and his wife debuted their new baby on Instagram with separate posts, which revealed her name and due date. The social media announcement of Dusty’s arrival was quite fitting as Adam Levine had first confirmed his wife was pregnant on Instagram in late March.

Adam Levine continued on to Ryan Seacrest, revealing that while he may be a new dad, he isn’t a professional father quite yet.
“I’ve been a parent for three weeks, what do I know?” Adam Levine joked. “I don’t know anything. But it’s kind of part of the beauty of it, honestly. There are a lot of instincts, a lot of things that kind of kick in and switch on. It’s a beautiful experience.”
In April, just days after confirming Prinsloo was pregnant, Adam Levine told Entertainment Tonight that he was “ready to be a dad.”
“You’re born to be a parent, that’s what we’re here for, really,” Adam Levine said at the time. “All the other s**t is great, but it’s not what we’re here for.”
Adam Levine married Behati Prinsloo in July, 2014, after about two years of dating. A short time later, the singer and his wife confirmed their plans for a big family.
In other Adam Levine news, the Maroon 5 singer and his wife recently unloaded their New York City apartment. Prior to Prinsloo’s pregnancy announcement, the model had been living in the Big Apple full-time while her husband stayed in Los Angeles, where he films The Voice. Prior to their baby news, living on opposite sides of the country didn’t seem to bother the celebrity couple but once they decided to start a family, they made the decision to make Los Angeles their home base.

Earlier this year, Adam Levine listed his NYC home with Prinsloo, which is located in Soho, for $5.5 million. On October 13, the New York Post confirmed the sale of the home, revealing the former owner of Dolce Vita Footwear, Nick Lucio, paid $5.4 million for the home.
Once Dusty Rose Levine made her arrival at the end of last month, multiple sources spoke out and revealed details of the baby’s Los Angeles birth.
“[Adam Levine] was in the delivery room holding Behati’s hands. They both cried when she was born. Both families are there now,” a source told E! News of the child’s birth. “She is beautiful. She looks like Behati… They are both speechless on how this moment feels as new parents. Dusty is healthy, sweet and happy baby!”
A second insider revealed that despite Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo being new parents, they were already planning for more children in the future.
“Behati loves being a mom and can’t wait to eventually expand the family more,” the other insider told E! News. “[Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo] are completely attached to her. They don’t want to let Dusty out of their sight.”
