Ken Bone, Presidential Debate Breakout Star, Invited To Smoke Weed With Snoop Dogg

Sunday’s presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton was the perfect reminder of how far the United States has fallen when it comes to politics. Even with all of the yelling and name-calling, however, there was at least one feel-good story to come out of the Anderson Cooper hosted session. Unfortunately, it wasn’t either party finding a replacement candidate for next month’s election.

The debate was set up in a town-hall style, meaning that people from the audience could ask Trump and Clinton about questions or concerns that plagued undecided voters. But, who cared about ISIS, emails, or Islamophobia in the country when we had a man ask the greatest question of them all:

“What steps will your energy policy take to meet our energy needs while at the same time remaining environmentally friendly and minimizing job layoffs?”

The man who asked that question, Ken Bone, has become an American icon in the past three days with his red cardigan sweater, his glasses, and his disposable camera (!) that he uses in the year 2016. Bone, who admitted to CNN that he was more undecided than ever after Sunday’s debate (if you can even call it that), has done his best to remain humble despite the fame and is trying to use all the attention to a selfless advantage.

“I’m really glad that so much attention has come my way, if for no other reason than I can get the message out that your voice can be heard, and please get out and vote in November. If you feel like your vote doesn’t matter, it does. Make your voice heard.”

One Ken Bone fan is now making his voice heard and, hopefully, the star of debate season uses that disposable camera to take pictures of canines. If not, he may have a hard time with one Snoop D-O double G…

The blue, for those unfamiliar, refers to Snoop Dogg’s affiliation with the Crips gang, who are known for wearing blue; the Bloods, which fellow rapper The Game reps, rock red as their shade of choice. Ken Bone in a blue sweater and some Crips gear would certainly be a must-see, that much is for sure.

Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, made his political opinions known earlier this year and expressed displeasure with the big three of candidates: Trump, Clinton, and Bernie Sanders. In a March interview alongside Wiz Khalifa with Rolling Stone, Snoop also praised Barack Obama, a fan favorite of many rappers.

“It doesn’t matter which one of them m*****f****** is in the office, we gonna still do what the f*** we’ve been doing ’cause that’s all we know…. Thank you Obama for really setting the tone for whoever the f*** comes in there next, which we don’t give a f*** about. We just gonna live like you still up in there.”

In a separate video on his official Instagram page in March, Snoop warned his fans about voting specifically for Trump or Sanders.

“I would never tell you who to vote for, and not to vote for, but you better not f***** vote for Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders. They’re two old m****** that don’t deserve to be in the White House.”

As of right now, Bone has yet to respond to the “Gin and Juice” rapper’s offer and join him in a smoke session. However, if Kanye West does indeed run for president in 2020 and win, Snoop may want to re-invite Bone and his disposable camera to the Oval Office.

As for now, Bone will enjoy his success and likely talk with his new fanbase, which has grown substantially in the past few days.

“I went from, last night, having seven Twitter followers, two of which were my grandmother…to now, I have several hundred. And I don’t know why they care what I have to say, but I’m glad they’re engaged in the political process.”

Going from seven Twitter followers to smoking weed with Snoop Dogg? That, friends, is the American Dream at its finest.
