Miley Cyrus & Adam Levine’s ‘The Voice’ Feud: Is It All A Publicity Stunt?

Miley Cyrus’s alleged feud with Adam Levine on The Voice set is being blasted as nothing more than a publicity stunt.

After months of allegations from numerous media outlets suggesting that Miley and Adam have not been getting along since Cyrus was announced as a coach on Season 11 of the NBC singing show, new reports are claiming that their drama was actually a publicity stunt.

According to claims made by Sportsragous, Miley and Adam’s widely reported feud on The Voice set was a tactic for the show to draw in viewers to the Season 11 premiere, which debuted on NBC on September 19, as the site branded their feud a “publicity stunt.”

Cyrus and Levine have yet to speak out about the allegations of a publicity stunt, and also never officially spoke out about the alleged feud themselves, though Us Weekly first claimed that a feud was erupting between Adam and the former Hannah Montana star on the set back in May.

As blind auditions for the talent search got underway, the site alleged that Miley and Adam had serious tension on The Voice set, claiming that the twosome knew exactly how to push each other’s buttons because their personalities are so similar.

“They both have short attention spans,” an insider close to The Voice production alleged to the site of Cyrus and Levine’s supposed on-set feud. “They find each other annoying. Adam would get agitated when Miley would interrupt him.”

The Voice insider also claimed to the site in May that Adam and Miley “find each other annoying” and added that Cyrus actually enjoyed “getting under [Levine’s] skin” during the blind audition rounds.

The feud rumors then continued to swirl around Cyrus and Levine both before and after The Voice’s Season 11 debut, as OK! Magazine even claimed just last month that Miley was so miserable on the set as a result of her drama with Adam that she was considering quitting the show.

“Miley feels like his favorite target,” said an insider of Miley Cyrus’s supposed run-ins with Adam Levine while filming for The Voice, adding that things got so bad between the veteran The Voice coach and newbie Miley that Cyrus was left “in tears” on at least one occasion.

“[Cyrus] feels like it’s a boys’ club and that she’s all alone,” the source continued amid the feud claims, suggesting that Levine could be teaming up with fellow veteran coach Blake Shelton. “Miley’s dying to get out of there. Things are so bad. She’s had enough.”

Cyrus and Levine have yet to comment on the publicity stunt rumors, though Miley and Adam appeared to do nothing to dispel the feud reports when sitting alongside each other in the famous red chairs during The Voice’s Season 11 debut.

E! News reported following the September 19 premiere of The Voice that Miley and Adam seriously “butt heads” on the show and noted that Cyrus took several jabs at the Maroon 5 frontman once the singing search got underway last month.

Miley and Adam hurled banter in each other’s directions numerous times during the premiere episode, where Cyrus also slammed Levine for only winning three of the 10 season’s he’s appeared on The Voice.

As viewers saw, The Voice duo bickered throughout the broadcast, causing Levine to scathingly ask Miley, “How many seasons [have] you won, Cyrus?”

“I’m new! I ain’t been on no seasons!” Cyrus then hit back at Adam, before poking fun at Levine’s track record of The Voice wins.

Pointing out that Adam, who’s been with the show since it first began, had only won three out his 10 seasons, Miley then remarked, “three out of 10? It’s basic math, and it did take me a second, but it seemed a little like…”
