Jamie Dornan Believes Issues Would Be More Vile If He Isn’t Married To Amelia Warner

Jamie Dornan has a lot to thank for when he landed Christian Grey’s role in Fifty Shades of Grey, but it is likewise undeniable that the franchise has compromised his privacy. Some of the comments about his personal life appear to be vile that he decided to stay away from social media.

“People like to go after your family and s*** as well. It’s one of the main reasons I left social media. They say horrific things about your loved ones, and so it opens up fast,” he told Marie Claire UK.

The Once Upon a Time actor thought the remarks about his family members, particularly his wife, were too much to take. He believes that if he’s single, the made-up stories about him would be worse.

Ever since he worked for the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise, allegations have surfaced that his wife Amelia Warner has been dealing with depression because of Jamie’s intimate scenes with co-star Dakota Johnson.

While Jamie maintains that his wife has given him her all-out support, he also admitted in an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show that his wife has no plans of watching Fifty Shades. “My wife is one of the most brilliant human beings in the world. She hasn’t watched it. Why would she watch it? She wouldn’t put herself through that,” he explained.

Despite the seemingly unending rumors about Jamie and Dakota, he insists that he has his wife’s blessings and that their marriage remains strong. He once told the Independent that he’s “more in love with Amelia today” and that he intends to have more children with her. The couple, who got married in 2013, has two daughters, Dulcie and Phoebe. Now that the couple has two children, Jamie believes that soon he will choose projects that his kids can watch.

For now, the Irish actor will finish his commitments for the Fifty Shades franchise. In another appearance for Entertainment Tonight, he recently said that he has no idea if Christian will leave nothing to the imagination in Fifty Shades Darker. He also said that he was never intimidated to act in front of the camera even if he had no clothes on.

“I haven’t seen it so I don’t know. I don’t know where the cameras were, I don’t bother myself with that, I just get on with it. I don’t really care about that sort of stuff. I’m not nudist beach guy but I don’t really mind.”

Fans will be surprised to know that Jamie isn’t as confident as his role in the franchise. He claims he hates his face without a beard because he “looks like a thumb.” Last year, Jamie also thought that people were mistaken when they voted him as the world’s “Hottest Hunk” in a survey conducted by Heat.

His father then told the Mirror how Jamie reacted to the news.

“I sent Jamie the Hottest Hunks copy to South Africa where he’s filming. Winning these sort of things doesn’t mean an awful lot to Jamie, but I knew he’d be pleased. When I called him he told me, ‘There must be some kind of mistake’. But that’s his usual modest self-effacement coming through.”

Fifty Shades Darker will hit silver screens on Feb. 10, 2017. The final part of the franchise, Fifty Shades Freed, will come out a year later.
