Jana Kramer Reveals Shocking Details About Her First Husband, Says He Tried To Kill Her

Jana Kramer has been pretty secretive about her past relationships, but it turns out that there might be a reason. Now the star of Dancing With the Stars is revealing that her first husband actually tried to kill her. It turns out that Jana is now revealing what really happened to her in her past. People revealed what Jana Kramer had to say about her ex-husband Michael Gambino. Her ex actually went to prison for attempted murder in 2005.

This was a very serious relationship for Jana and also her first marriage. Kramer has actually been married three times. Here is what she had to say about it all.

“I met Mike when I was 19 at a Coffee Bean in L.A. He was a smooth-talker, very charming, intriguing and obviously older. At the time, I liked that. I felt protected.”

Jana actually married Michael when they had just been dating for two weeks. This relationship was really young, but Jana married him anyway. After this happened, things went downhill for sure. He was 17 years older than Jana and started to be abusive toward her. Jana even slept in her car and hid in bushes sometimes so that he could calm down. She would use makeup to hide abuse and even somehow kept it from her friends and family. Jana shared that he would come home upset and pick her up out of the bed then throw her on the floor. He would hit her and start yelling at her, but the next day he would apologize and act like everything was fine. Jana admits that he killed her self-confidence.

“When I said, ‘I can’t do this anymore’ he sent me a photo of my dogs on the freeway and said, ‘I’m going to let them go if you don’t come home’. He’d kick me out of the house, I’d sleep in the car and then that next morning I’d be with him in bed again.”

This wasn’t the end of it, though. Jana Kramer went back to him and almost lost her life over it. On Aug. 6, 2005, he choked her into unconsciousness and left her bleeding on the gravel outside of her house in L.A. Jana is lucky to be alive. Gambino was convicted of attempted murder and sentenced to six years in prison. He spent his time in prison, but in 2010 he got out of jail. He then committed suicide just two years later.

Jana Kramer moved on and got married once again and was also engaged to fellow country music singer Brantley Gilbert. These didn’t work out and then she married Michael Caussin. Jana had her first child with him and the couple seemed great until they revealed a split and he went to rehab. The Inquisitr revealed that Mike is allegedly in rehab for sex addiction and cheated on Jana more than once during their marriage, but she stayed with him anyway.

As The Boot shared, Jana Kramer has been doing a great job this season on DWTS. During Week 4, she did amazing with the foxtrot with her partner Gleb Savchenko. At this time, Jana is a fan favorite and it is very possible she could end up winning the show or at least making it to the finals this season. Jana is showing that she is not only a talented actress and singer, but she can also dance.
