Kelly Dodd Opens Up About Marital Problems: Is Kelly Divorcing Michael After ‘RHOC’?

Kelly Dodd has been filming The Real Housewives of Orange County even though she’s been going through some marital troubles. It’s no secret that Kelly’s marriage isn’t perfect, as she admitted during the first couple of episodes that she had tried to divorce him once before and he wouldn’t let her go. Her husband, Michael, underwent a psych evaluation, which was surprising news to her Real Housewives of Orange County stars. Dodd has revealed that she wanted to divorce her husband, but he wouldn’t let her go. And based on recent scenes on the show, it sounds like she wants out of the marriage.

According to a new Bravo report, Kelly Dodd is now revealing that she and her husband may be working out their issues instead of divorcing. As Kelly said on The Real Housewives of Orange County, she would rather stay together with Michael and give her daughter Jolie a family rather than get divorced. It worked for her, as her parents stayed together.

“Michael and I were not getting along. Unlike the ’70s party and other events where we are always together, we were distant. Michael socialized mostly with Eric. He wasn’t in the best of moods,” Kelly Dodd explains in her Bravo blog for the show, revealing that had abandoned him at Costco after he decided to go into the store without her.

Kelly had tried calling her husband on the phone and texting him to find him. She had no idea where he was, as he had gone into the store without her while she went to the washroom. Kelly Dodd was so furious with her husband that she decided to leave him at Costco and drive him and this was apparently a first for the couple, as she had never left him somewhere before.

“In 12 years I had never left him behind anywhere. OMG was he upset. He had to Uber home. We didn’t speak for the rest of the day. When the time came to get ready for Heather’s party, Michael was insistent that he was not going. Oh yes he was!” Kelly Dodd revealed in her Bravo blog, sharing that her husband was furious with her for leaving him behind.

This apparently happened right around the time that the couple went to Heather Dubrow’s book launch party, a party he didn’t want to go to. Also, Kelly was watching her husband drink at the party and she was quick to correct him when he started getting too drunk. Dodd was clearly embarrassed about her husband’s behavior.

“He went of course, but he wasn’t happy about it. It showed all over his face. I shouldn’t have criticized him to my friends while at the party, but by now you know I am impulsive and have no filter. It’s a good thing Michael gets me and is patient with me. I know I am not the easiest person to live with,” Kelly Dodd explains in her blog, adding, “In any long-term marriage, like ours, sometimes you argue, you drink too much because you argue, you embarrass each other, and if you work at it, you make up and move on. Our arguments just happen to be seen by everyone.”

While Dodd may be staying with Michael, it sounds like some of her fans are questioning why she would stay. Many people would have filed for divorce to get a happier life. Dodd is choosing to stay with her husband for the sake of her child.
