LeAnn Rimes Missed Her First New Tour Appearance Due To A Dental Infection

LeAnn Rimes missed a performance over the weekend and is blaming a massive dental infection for skipping the show. The singer was scheduled to start a new tour after recently leaving a rehabilitation facility for treatment of stress and anxiety issues. On Sunday, Rimes posted a detail description of her 3 am visit to the emergency room to deal with what the singer referred to as a dental nightmare, the Daily Mail reports.

Rimes had this to say in her blog post:

“I feel like I got hit in my right side of my face with a baseball bat. Not a good feeling when I am getting on a plane. For all my fans at Wendover [Nevada] last night, the show will be rescheduled, not a canceled show. Worst way ever to kick off a tour … under anesthesia and a massive infection. Well, onward and upward. It can only get better from here.”

In a blog update, LeAnn noted that she was finally in with a doctor and getting good care for her dental infection. She also thanked her fans again for their understanding and support and noted that she was going to spend the day resting. She stated she hoped to be back on the road and performing again soon.

The new tour is reportedly part of a pre-planned hiatus from rehab, according to Radar Online. Rimes apparently worked her professional obligations in with her mental health care. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, LeAnn noted that online social networking interaction on websites such as Twitter and Facebook added to her stress level.
