Selena Gomez Heads To Rehab Due To Lupus Symptoms, Gets Blamed For Brad Pitt Divorce
Selena Gomez has reportedly entered into a 60-day rehab program.
Nearly one month after announcing her struggles with anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, a report claims the 24-year-old singer has embarked on a treatment program at a Christianity-based establishment.
“The facility is a women’s only facility in a secluded wooded area,” a source told Radar Online earlier this week. “She’s staying for more than 60 days.”
Selena Gomez has been suffering from Lupus for the past several years, and according to her, she began experiencing mental struggles amid her Revival World Tour, which kicked off in May and was supposed to continue on until December.

Selena Gomez’s rehab “is not a huge celebrity center or anything like that, and it’s not somewhere where Selena has any ties,” continued the source. “The rehab has a Christianity-based track, which might have been appealing given her religious background.”
According to the report, Selena Gomez and other residents are permitted to leave the facility in a group for special day trips around the area.
On August 30, Selena Gomez officially announced the end of her tour with a statement to People Magazine. In the statement, Gomez revealed that she’s been facing struggles due to her Lupus diagnosis and would be taking some time off to address her personal issues. At the same time, a source spoke to the magazine and confirmed that despite the ongoing rumors regarding Gomez’s possible drug problem, her decision to get help was not the result of drugs or alcohol.
“[Selena Gomez] decided to clear her calendar for the year in order to have this be her priority for future happiness and didn’t want to leave any promoters at bay,” the source explained to the magazine. “She feels relieved that she can now make more sense of why she was feeling the way she was and is optimistic about the future.”

Selena Gomez’s tour break came just weeks after she and her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, engaged in a feud on Instagram. In mid-August, Bieber suggested his fans be nicer to his girlfriend, Sofia Richie, and in turn, Gomez said he should be keeping his relationship private. In the moments that followed, Bieber was accused of cheating multiple times and Gomez was said to have engaged in a relationship with Zayn Malik during their relationship.
Shortly after Selena Gomez announced her career hiatus, she was tied into the ongoing rumors about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce. In the latest report, it was suggested that Jolie found photos of other women, including Selena Gomez, on Brad Pitt’s phone.
“[Selena Gomez] understands why women would want to meet him, but why would he have photos with these random women?” a source explained to OK! Magazine, via a report by Hollywood Life on September 28. “She couldn’t understand what he was getting out of that.”
Selena Gomez and Brad Pitt posed for a photo together earlier this year which was later shared on the “Same Old Love” singer’s Instagram account. Around the same time, Gomez said that she enjoyed looking at the 52-year-old actor. In addition to his ties to Selena Gomez, Pitt has been linked to a number of other celebrities in 2016, including his Allied co-stars, Marion Cotillard and Lizzy Caplan.
Selena Gomez has not yet confirmed when she will be returning to her Revival World Tour, if she plans to do so at all.
