Meghan King Edmonds Mocks Vicki Gunvalson With Sister’s Surgery

Meghan King Edmonds got plenty of backlash this season after she refused to take the dune buggy accident seriously on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Meghan wasn’t present when the accident happened and she got several different stories about how serious the accident was. But Meghan always knew that Vicki Gunvalson had to be airlifted to the hospital and she chose not to drive up to see Gunvalson in the hospital. Meghan wasn’t on friendly terms with Vicki and as long as she wasn’t admitted to the hospital, King Edmonds didn’t see the need for her to make the effort.

According to a new tweet, Meghan King Edmonds is now mocking Vicki’s experience in the hospital, as it was later revealed that Gunvalson had to take an Uber home from the hospital in her hospital gown. Meghan had texted Vicki while she was in the hospital and she, at no point, asked King Edmonds to come to to the hospital with clothing. So Meghan did think it was ridiculous that the other ladies would blame her for how Vicki ended up in an Uber on the way home.

“My sister is getting surgery and guess what? She ubered there! And she’s alone in Boston! And not complaining! What!!? Love u,” Meghan King Edmonds revealed on Twitter, mocking Vicki in her decision to take an Uber home from the hospital.

As it turns out, Meghan’s own sister was going in for surgery and she had no problem taking an Uber to the hospital without getting any of her friends involved. King Edmonds was just trying to make fun of the whole situation, but people felt that Meghan had no compassion at all. And most of her followers pointed out that Meghan was selfish not for flying to be with her sister and it was sad that her sister didn’t have any friends to take her.

“SAD! I feel bad MKE’s sister doesn’t have any caring or compassionate friends nearby,” one person replied after reading Meghan King Edmonds’ dig, while another added, “especially since MKE shows her sister travelling so much 2 support Meg..not returned.”

“I guess MKE is just uncaring & cold to everyone, even people she loves. That’s very sad. Yeah, she needs a lot of hand-holding. Yet can’t be there for others,” another person pointed, joining the other Twitter followers in their opinions.

Maybe King Edmonds was just trying to show that taking an Uber to and from the hospital when nothing serious is wrong is not a big deal. And maybe she’s trying to show that she shouldn’t be scolded for not visiting Vicki in the hospital after the dune buggy accident. It wasn’t because she was insensitive, but they weren’t exactly friends and Meghan opened up about that after the episode aired.

“I’ve been getting a lot of backlash over the last two weeks for not visiting Vicki in the ER and while I do feel bad if I let anyone down, I still stand by my decision to not drive to the hospital. How many of you can honestly say if you were in my shoes, you would drop everything and rush to the ER? If Vicki had been admitted to the hospital, it would have been a completely different situation, but that wasn’t the case. I was texting her throughout the couple hours she was in the ER to make sure she was alright,” Meghan King Edmonds revealed on her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County.
