These five trailer teasers of Ghost in the Shell that Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks have released feature Scarlett Johansson as the Major. Scarlett Johansson plays the role of a human who is heavily augmented with cybernetic implants. Her job is to lead an elite special ops unit called Section 9. Ghost in the Shell is being directed by Rupert Sanders, who is also known for directing Snow White and the Huntsman.

The Ghost in the Shell manga, off of which the film will be based, was first published in 1989. The series told the story of an elite agency who was attempting to stop several different cyber terrorists from doing things such as hacking into home computers and security systems in order to control them. The series took place in a future version of Japan where the line between what is human and what is machine is blurred.

In fact, the line is so blurred it can be hard to tell the difference between the two. In fact, the main character, who will be played by Scarlett Johansson in the film, has so many cybernetic implants that she reaches a point in her life where she starts to question her own humanity. Is she human or machine?
