Shannon Beador Shares ‘RHOC’ Mother-In-Law Drama The Cameras Didn’t Capture

Shannon Beador was shocked to learn that her mother-in-law, Donna Beador, and David’s sister decided to show up to the rock concert that Shannon’s daughters had been planning for family and friends on last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. They wanted to debut their first song, “Dreamcatcher,” and play some cover numbers. It was a great night for them as they got to showcase what they had been practicing, but Shannon was shocked when her mother-in-law decided to walk in the door. As it turns out, Beador doesn’t have a great relationship with David’s mother and sister, and she was surprised to see them there. Her own daughters had invited them.

According to a new Bravo report, Shannon Beador is now revealing that Donna had caused some troubles behind the scenes that Bravo cameras didn’t capture. As it turns out, Donna had walked up to each of her grandchildren and had told them that she loved them, despite what may play out that night. As Beador explains, that move was completely planned as Donna wanted to apologize in advance for talking about their mother behind her back.

“I had no idea my mother-in-law was coming to the performance. My children do not have a close relationship with their grandmother. A year and a half ago, my mother-in-law told my daughters that I wasn’t a good mother among other things. They were very upset because no child wants to hear negative things about their mother,” Shannon Beador revealed in her Bravo blog, sharing that her children were upset for hearing things about their mother from their grandmother.

During the episode, Donna told Kelly Dodd that Shannon Beador and David keep the three children from her. And that seems weird, as just a few weeks prior, she had actually been babysitting them while Shannon and David were on their second honeymoon. She had gotten to spend time with them, even though she made it seem like Beador was keeping the children from their grandmother.

“The bottom line is that David’s mother was not telling the truth. I do not keep her from my children. She never calls to try and make plans. We saved a seat for her and one of David’s sisters for Sophie’s eighth grade play, and they didn’t show up,” Shannon Beador reveals in her blog for Bravo, revealing that Donna and her daughter don’t make an effort to see the children.

“She spent Easter with my daughters two weeks earlier when we were on our ‘second honeymoon.’ At least once a month I would bring up the fact that David and the kids hadn’t seen his mother since Christmas. I didn’t want her to ever say that I was keeping the children from her. I guess it didn’t matter because she said it anyway,” Shannon Beador explains in her blog, revealing that she’s probably the wrong person to get upset with since David himself hadn’t made an effort to see his mother.

During the rock concert, Donna did seem very pushy with her motives. It did seem like she wanted to cause problems between David and Shannon, as she kept bringing up negative things to say. And as Beador points out in her blog, her mother-in-law went straight after people who she had never met before. She opened up to Kelly Dodd and Tamra Judge about the fact that she hadn’t seen her grandchildren in months.
