‘Married At First Sight’ Season 4 Spoilers: Sonia and Derek Dating? MAFS Fans Rooting For Stars To Move On

Married At First Sight Season 4 is about to get even more interesting. In a sneak peek clip for episode 10, “Naked Truth,” Nick Pendergrast was seen talking to Pastor Cal Roberson, telling him that he is giving up on the social experiment. Meanwhile, several MAFS fans have been noticing Derek Schwartz and Sonia Granados’ closeness on social media, wondering if the two actually ended up together.

According to the official synopsis of next Tuesday’s episode of Married At First Sight Season 4, “Naked Truth” will see the three couples “tackle issues head-on.” Nick and Sonia are also set to make a huge revelation about their relationship.

MAFS fans know that Nick and Sonia have been struggling with intimacy since the beginning. Sonia wants her husband to open up more about his feelings and Nick recently revealed that he is no longer attracted to his wife like he used to be. After a huge fight in Episode 9, “In Sickness and in Health,” Nick said that he is done with the social experiment.

“I’m f**king checked out. I’m f**cking over it. I don’t want to be attracted to her at this point. I don’t even want to try to be attracted to her anymore. I don’t have feelings for her at all,” he told the cameras.

On Married At First Sight: Unfiltered, Nick told MAFS alum Jamie Otis that he immediately felt bad after the words came out of his mouth. He explained that he just had a long day coming from work and did not want to have the feelings talk with Sonia.

“You know sometimes things come out of your mouth that you wish you could take back? It was one of those things. I would take it back in a heartbeat,” he said.

Nick also clarified that the physical attraction is still there, he just did not like talking about his feelings all the time. He added that Sonia could sometimes be “over emotional” and “overly sensitive.”

“Sometimes I just want to have a conversation about what you did at work today. I don’t want to talk about what I’m feeling inside all the time. Sometimes I think that’s why it comes across as I’m not talkative because I don’t want to talk about emotions all the time. I want to talk about day to day life. I want to have a normal conversation.”

In the promo for Married At First Sight Season 4 Episode 10, Sonia, visibly upset, wondered how Nick could treat her that way especially after what happened between them earlier.

“What do you mean?” Pastor Cal asked.

“We had sex, not just once,” Sonia replied.

Sonia’s revelation was surprising given that Nick bluntly told Pastor Cal that they never had sex. He told the Married At First Sight Season 4 expert that he wanted to get out of the marriage.

“Are you saying that because this is not a traditional marriage you get an out?” Pastor Cal asked.

“I get at least one get-out-of-jail-free card,” Nick answered.

Meanwhile, some Married At First Sight Season 4 fans are starting to notice Sonia’s closeness to her co-star Derek Schwartz, Heather Seidel’s husband. Sonia and Derek had been exchanging tweets quite frequently and had even concluded a rap battle on Snapchat. Given that things did not work out between Derek and Heather, and Nick and Sonia’s relationship is not looking too good either, some of their followers are rooting for the two to end up together.

“I have a prediction @sonia_mafs and @derek_mafs reveal that they are secretly a couple. Fingers crossed!!!” Michael, a MAFS fan tweeted.

Sonia, however, soon replied, saying that married people can still be friends with the opposite sex, especially with those who have gone through similar experiences who can offer support.
