‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Premiere: There Are Bodies Everywhere [Spoilers]
The Vampire Diaries Season 8 premiere is coming up in just over one month. Fans are getting anxious to find out what is happening with Damon and Enzo. What exactly is affecting the vampires, and can they be saved? Recently, photos for the first episode were released. In a few of the images, there were bodies everywhere.
TVD spoilers are ahead. If you don’t want to know what could happen on The CW series, then stop reading.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, executive producer Julie Plec teased that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) will be performing gruesome executions. This is because of the creature affecting them, as seen in the season finale of The Vampire Diaries. Season 8 premiere photos published by TVLine reveal just how bloody things are going to get in the episode titled “Hello Brother.”
One image features Damon Salvatore and he is looking at something or someone. He has a cold expression on his face, but his eyes have a fierce and ferocious look to them. It is clear that this is not the real Damon, at least the one that TVD fans have grown to love.
Another photo for The Vampire Diaries Season 8 premiere reveals on tactic Damon and Enzo use to trap victims. Enzo lies down on the road and pretends to be injured or dead. Of course, the passengers approach the body to see if he is alive. The next image shows a terrified couple blocked in by Damon and Enzo.
Next, the man from the road is in a warehouse or factory with Damon. The elder Salvatore brother is holding some sort of cable with a box attached to it. It isn’t clear what it is, but it can’t be good.
In the next photo for The Vampire Diaries Season 8 premiere, Damon stands with the man while Enzo bites the woman’s neck. She isn’t screaming, and there is no expression on her face. What is unusual about this image is that the man from the road doesn’t look scared. It should be noted that there are dozens of plastic bags surrounding them. Each contains a bloody body that is visible through the plastic material. Then, another photo shows the same couple standing in the warehouse listening to Damon and Enzo. It is clear that there is something very strange going on. Did they turn the couple into vampires? Are they using mind control to force them to do certain things?
The Vampire Diaries Season 8 premiere images also show other characters. For example, Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) is standing on a road with red and blue flashing lights nearby. He talks on his phone, and it appears he is on Damon’s trail. Alaric (Matt Davis) and Caroline (Candice King) are having a conversation. Alaric seems to be explaining something to her. Then, fans see the first image of Seline (Kristen Gutoskie), who is Alaric’s nanny and potential love interest.
Other spoilers for The Vampire Diaries Season 8 come from Entertainment Weekly. The publication posted a promo clip, which shows Stefan asking Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) to help him find Damon and Enzo. Without hesitation, she agrees. However, she doesn’t seem to be too hopeful.
Not only did she lose Damon and Enzo, but Bonnie lost her magic as well. The executive producer said their goal is to use as little magic as possible, at least in the beginning. It will be interesting to see how Damon and Enzo can be saved, if they can be rescued at all. Remember, this isn’t any ordinary creature that is affecting Damon and Enzo. They just might have to get creative when battling the TVD villain.
