Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Are Planning To Get Married This Year? She Is ‘In Love’
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have reportedly made plans to get married later this year.
According to a new report, Stefani and Shelton will enjoy a wedding ceremony in the coming months after dating for about a year.
During an appearance on On Air With Ryan Seacrest last week, Gwen Stefani addressed her potential second wedding, telling host Ryan Seacrest, “Everything is going so quickly. … I’m in the moment and, um, look at me, you’ve got me tongue-tied.” However, another outlet claims she and Shelton haven’t yet told their families about their official wedding date.
“They want to get married before the end of the year,” a source told Us Weekly on September 14.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton began dating last year after splitting from their former spouses, Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, respectively, in the summer of last year. In July, Shelton and Lambert announced that after four years of marriage, they had made the decision to part ways. Weeks later, Gwen Stefani announced she and Rossdale were divorcing after 13 years of marriage and three children together, Kingston, 10, Zuma, and Apollo, 2.
“They are both very, very happy,” said a Shelton insider. “Blake is having the time of his life with [Gwen Stefani] and feels so comfortable around her.”
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s romance began on the set of The Voice Season 9 last fall. Although the couple had previously starred on the series’ seventh season one year prior, their relationship didn’t turn romantic until 2015 and in November of that year, they publicly confirmed their dating relationship.
As for the type of wedding Stefani and Shelton are hoping for, the source said the nuptials would be less flashy than the couple’s previous ceremonies.
“Gwen has said they both want something more low-key than their first weddings,” a second source previously told Us Weekly. “It would likely be at Blake’s ranch [in Oklahoma] or in the backyard. Gwen doesn’t really care, she is just in love with Blake and their life together.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been traveling the country together for the last several months and while Stefani has been busy with her tour and Shelton has been filming for the latest season of The Voice, they’ve remained committed to living their romance as a family with Stefani’s sons. In addition to Stefani and Shelton’s regular duet performances, the couple is often seen with her kids and just last month, the boys enjoyed a trip to Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma.
While Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have yet to confirm news of an engagement, People Magazine suggested at the end of this month that the couple had already begun to plan for marriage.
“Rumors are circulating in their circle that [Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have] begun preparations for a wedding,” the source told the magazine. “There’s no date set, but they’re planning ahead and having fun talking about it.”
“Everyone is expecting it to happen at some point, but Gwen is touring and busy. The time just hasn’t been right,” the source continued.
Gwen Stefani kicked off her This is What the Truth Feels Like Tour in July and will remain on the road for the next several weeks. Meanwhile, Shelton continues his duties on The Voice Season 11, which premieres next Monday night.
The source went on to say that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are “very serious” about one another and are “madly in love, committed and planning for a future together.”
