Ryan Reynolds’ Wife Blake Lively Gave Movie Director Her Eyes, Pregnant ‘The Shallows’ Actress Marks 9/11 On Instagram
Blake Lively may be busier than ever nesting with Ryan Reynolds for her second baby, but that doesn’t mean that she has put her movie career on hold. She premiered yet another movie at Toronto Film Festival 2016 after releasing her sleeper-hit The Shallows. And, according to the All I See is You director, she gave him something special!
Starring in Cafe Society as well as The Shallows, Ryan Reynolds’ wife has been campaigning for a serious movie career. Being in Woody Allen’s movie was a step forward, but her role in Cafe Society was not as big as she would have liked.
She got another chance in All I See is You and she made sure to thank her director for the opportunities.
“She gave me a wristband from a jeweler she knew, made of little stones and one of the stones is her blue eye,” Marc Forster said to Vanity Fair. “She had her iris photographed, and they [imprinted] it into this bracelet. Isn’t that the best gift ever? I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?'” I was embarrassed.'”
But the reviews for The Shallow actress’ new movie has not been as good as the other ones. It certainly did not gain the Oscar buzz that all artists long for at this year’s Toronto Film Festival so she may have to wait until the next season to have a real shot at Academy Awards.
It may be a while before Blake Lively bounces back to make more movies. She is very heavily pregnant now and she is busy setting up her home with husband Ryan Reynolds to welcome her second baby.
Ryan also commented that he also has been sacrificing some of his personal time to make sure that he is there for his pregnant wife.
“[Hiking] plays a huge part in my daily routine,” he said according to Variety. “Hiking is like a part of my workout. I love it. My wife is just extraordinarily pregnant right now, so there’s not a lot of hiking in her immediate future—nor do I think it’s going to happen the second she gives birth, either. I’m told there’s some recuperation that’s needed.”

The Shallows actress also has been limiting her Instagram to get mentally prepped for her baby. But she did not let 9/11 go unmarked on her social media account.
Seeing how she and Ryan Reynolds were looking at houses in TriBeCa just a few weeks ago, commemorating a big New York event like that was probably something she felt like she needed to do.
Other than that, she has been pretty quiet on Instagram, the post before the 9/11 one going back almost five weeks. Though she had a lot of fun filling her feed with red carpet pictures from Cannes 2016, The Shallows and Deadpool premiere, it looks like she is letting the more superficial things slide as she advances in her pregnancy.
And Blake Lively certainly has no plans on killing herself to regain her pre-baby-bump body.
“It’s so unfair though, because it’s so celebrated,” the pregnant actress said to People. “It’s like, this is what someone can look like after a baby. I think a woman’s body after having a baby is pretty amazing.”
“You don’t need to be Victoria’s Secret ready right away because you just did the most incredible miracle that life has to offer. I mean you gave birth to a human being! So I would really like to see that celebrated.”
