Is Kylie Jenner Dyeing Her Hair To Make Her Modeling Debut At NYFW?

Kylie Jenner has been named as one of the faces in Alexander Wang’s Fall 2016 campaign. Is that why Kylie has been keeping her new platinum blonde hair somewhat of a secret from her fans?

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has revealed to fans on Snapchat that she was getting her signature dark locks dyed all day long on Sunday, Sept. 4. Instead of debuting her new look in typical Kylie Jenner fashion, she has since kept it a secret. Now that Jenner has been announced as one of the many celebrities to appear in Alexander Wang’s Fall 2016 campaign, leading some to wonder if she will officially debut her platinum blonde hair at New York Fashion Week.

She did, however, just take to Instagram to show off her new platinum blonde hair, which appears to be wet and wavy in the following photos.

Kylie’s polaroid photo was featured on Alexander Wang’s “Wangsquad” Instagram account, reports Teen Vogue. Kylie’s sister is Kendall Jenner, so it wouldn’t be surprising if she wants to try her hand out at modeling as well. Kylie is not the only one to appear in the high-fashion campaign. She will also be joined by her boyfriend, Tyga, reports Elle. Kylie’s last high-fashion campaign was when she starred in a Balmain campaign alongside Kendall last summer. She also starred in her own ad campaigns for Puma earlier this year.

Kylie Jenner dyed her hair platinum blonde and documented the whole ordeal on Snapchat, reports Us Weekly. She started things out by sharing a photo of her dark hair covered in bleach with her dark roots peeking through. Jenner captioned the photo “All Day.” Then, she told her fans that the bleach was hurting her scalp. Jenner also poked fun at photos by calling her hair “Spaghetti” before sharing a clip of her colorist washing the bleach out of her hair.

Then, Kylie admitted that she had a hard deciding between platinum blonde and honey blonde. Now, it looks she stuck with the platinum, which will make its official debut at New York Fashion Week. Kylie’s older sister, Kim Kardashian, debuted her platinum blonde locks at the Yeezy Season 3 show at NYFW back in February of this year.

But, on Instagram, Kylie revealed that she wasn’t inspired by Kim. Instead, she was inspired by Kourtney’s platinum blonde dyed job from when she was a teenager.

So, does Kylie Jenner want to become a model like Kendall? In an old episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Jenner revealed that she was jealous when her mom, Kris Jenner, helped Kendall out with her modeling career five years ago. Check out the video for yourself below.

After Kylie made an appearance in a January 2016 spread for Vogue, a source told Hollywood Life that Kylie now sees herself having a career in modeling, just like her famous sister.

“Kylie is starting to see a real future for herself as a model. It’s not just Vogue that’s come calling, she’s getting tons of offers to be on magazine covers and it’s making her adjust her life goals. She still wants to act but for the first time she’s really considering modeling.”

The younger Jenner sister did make her catwalk debut at the Yeezy Season 2 fashion show. The source added that she enlisted the help of a coach to help her perfect her walk so that she can “kill it” on the runway. She’s hoping that it will lead to more photo shoots and runway shows.

“Growing up it only seemed like Kendall had the goods to be a model, but Kylie is getting such positive feedback she’s really considering it as a career possibility.”
