Malia Obama Pot Scandal: First Daughter’s Friend Tests Positive For Drugs While On Probation

Malia Obama has been embroiled in a pot smoking scandal after footage was released of her smoking at the Lollapalooza music festival in late July. The first daughter opted to attend the Chicago event instead of joining her parents for the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. It was a decision that led to big headlines for all of the wrong reasons.

Images of Malia twerking and partying it up were posted online. It wasn’t just her wild behavior that got attention, but who she was with. Her friend and rapper, Taylor Bennett, was in attendance at Lollapalooza, and it was soon learned that he had a criminal past. The latest report reveals that he tested positive for pot twice while on probation.

Radar Online obtained court documents showing that he tested positive in two drug tests in the weeks before he was seen with Malia Obama at Lollapalooza.

Bennett is on probation after pleading no contest to aggravated battery/great bodily harm in April. The 20-year-old was accused of violently beating a man at a party in 2014 that resulted in “bleeding on the brain.”

Bennett’s younger brother, Chance, was also put on probation and had to take random drug tests in addition to completing 40 hours of community service.

Legal documents reveal that Malia Obama’s friend “completed two random screenings” on July 6 and July 13, 2016, and they tested positive for “THC50,” the test for marijuana.

The Social Service Department requested that Bennett “be screened instanter” in the future, which means he won’t have advance warning on further tests. He was reportedly declared in compliance with his probation. The rapper has been ordered to return to court in February 2017.

Bennett’s father is a former aide to President Obama.

Malia Obama is in the midst of a gap year before she begins her studies at Harvard University in 2017. Earlier this summer, she was spotted at The Sugar Factory in Amsterdam where a DJ dished that Malia was partying hard and flirting with other people. He commented on her sexy dance moves.

At the end of July, Malia was in Lollapalooza where witness, Jerrdin Selywn, told Radar Online that she was allegedly smoking pot.

“I caught Malia smoking pot and I have the pictures to prove it,” a witness said. “You could smell the marijuana smoke.”

Eighteen-year-old Selywn said that a young guy handed Malia the cigarette, and that she puffed on for a minute before giving it back.

While touring Brown University last fall, Malia was seen at a party standing next to a beer pong table.

Malia Obama’s pot scandal has drudged up her father’s past. While a high school student in Hawaii, President Obama was in a group called the “Choom Gang.” They were a group of guys who played basketball and smoked marijuana.

As The Mirror reports, President Obama has discouraged his daughters from smoking cannabis.

“I’ve told my daughters I think it’s a bad idea, a waste of time, not very healthy,” he said. “As has been well documented, I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life.”

The president added that he certainly doesn’t think marijuana is more dangerous than alcohol.

As the Inquisitr reported, Malia Obama was rushed out of a party by Secret Service agents at Martha’s Vineyard during a family vacation just a few weeks ago. Sgt. Skip Manter with the West Tisbury Police Department confirmed to Radar Online that neighbors “complained about noise.”

There were rumors that followed suggesting that things got tense between Malia Obama and her father after the incident. It was supposedly exacerbated after news Malia made for allegedly smoking pot.
