A tweet from Dragon Con revealed a new Netflix Original series that will feature iconic members of the Mythbusters build team, Kari Byron, Grant Imahara, and Tory Belleci. All that is known about the new series, currently called The White Rabbit Project, is that it will begin airing on December 9.

According to the Nerdist, little to nothing is known about The White Rabbit Project at this time, but more details will hopefully arrive in the near future. The team at the Nerdist tried to search The White Rabbit Project online, but only found an obscure disturbing movie that is obviously not related. However, since the build team is on board with the show, there is speculation that the popular trio will be reunited to perform stunts and create science experiments similar to their roles on Mythbusters.
Leif Anderson, a Mythbusters fan, claims he was present at the Dragon Con panel and shared what was revealed.
“I was in the panel when they announced this. They described it as “Mythbusters in Wonderland”. The subjects they tackle are those that you find when you ‘go down the rabbit hole on the internet.”

Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman announced the final season of Mythbusters back in 2014, according to CNET. In a surprise twist, the duo of hosts also announced that Tori, Kari, and Grant would not be returning to the final season.
“This next season we’re going back to our origins with just Adam and me,”
A reason was never given for not bring the trio of builders back for the final season, leaving many fans feeling the void that was left behind.
Tory, Kari, and Byron each found new life after Mythbusters, but nothing that met the same fanfare. Tory and Kari teamed up and hosted Thrill Factor for the Travel Channel, according to Nerd Reactor. Grant has appeared in multiple web shows and became a spokesperson for McDonald’s, showing the world how Chicken McNuggets are made.
The Gazette Review leaked the trio’s reunion in July, letting the readers know that Tory, Grant, and Kari were working on a new show that will feature “gadgets, science, and destruction galore.” Filming for the new series started on May 23. Dragon Con’s announcement has reaffirmed the rumor and sent fans into a frenzy on social media, wondering what exactly we can expect in the new show. Since the team will not be under the supervision of Adam or Jamie, curious fans wonder if the show will be restricted by the show’s directors or if Tory, Grant, and Kari will be able to let loose and do the things they always wanted to do on Mythbusters, but were never allowed. That is, if the show is like Mythbusters at all.
It is possible that the show will not focus on busting myths at all, but instead be based on the science stuff we all want to figure out but don’t have the means to. It could also be something completely different altogether, as Anderson claims.

Speculation regarding the premise of The White Rabbit Project is sure to circulate across the Internet for some time, until Netflix chooses to provide potential viewers with previews of the original series. However, it is always fun to guess at the premise and see how close you come.
Although many fans that have responded on Twitter hope it is similar to the premise of Mythbusters, there are just as many welcoming something fresh and new. Regardless of what sort of science experiments and big booms the show features, many are waiting to binge-watch the first season.
