Megyn Kelly Dishes On Hillary Clinton And Colin Kaepernick

Megyn Kelly produced another controversial episode of The Kelly File on Monday evening. She started off talking about the latest scandal over Hillary Clinton’s emails and the Clinton Foundation.

“Newly released emails about the Clinton Foundation are leading to some serious new allegations — suggestions that the foundation was giving favors during Clinton’s time at State. And tonight a justice department lawyer tells us that some legal lines may have been crossed,” Kelly excitingly told her audience.

Kelly noted that after Clinton was ordered to release more emails from her server, several emails revealed that there were very close ties between Clinton’s State Department and people who donated to the foundation.

“The messages lend credence to the notion that there are wealthy donors who payed top dollars for favors from America’s top diplomat while ordinary Americans were left to fend for themselves if they wanted access,” Kelly said, noting that even Clinton said that this doesn’t look good.

Kelly then handed over the show to Fox News correspondent Trace Gallagher.

“This latest round of emails appears to draw a bold line directly between the Clinton Foundation and Hillary Clinton’s circle while she was secretary of state,” Gallagher said before revealing that the emails were given to ABC by the conservative group Citizens United.

Apparently, one exchange from 2010 had a top Clinton Foundation official talk about special seating for a special State Dept. lunch. The emails reveal others who were given “special seating” and just happened to make huge donations to Hillary’s foundation. As Gallagher notes, the State Department recently told ABC News that they don’t believe the special seating was inappropriate.

The show turned over to the topic of Colin Kaepernick, the NFL Quarterback that refused to participate in the National Anthem. As Megyn Kelly described, Kaepernick said the American Flag represented oppression.

Trace Gallagher appeared on the show again and told Kelly that this is Kaepernick’s sixth year in the NFL, but the first time he decided to sit down. According to Gallagher, Kaepernick said it took time for him to decide to sit.

Gallagher said that across the country, people support Kaepernick’s right to protest, but object to his reasons why he is protesting. Several football fans have been burning Kaepernick’s jersey, and other football players think he is being hypocritical.

Megyn Kelly then had two guests on her show. Veteran Pete Hegseth said that Kaepernick was being completely ungrateful. Worse, Hegseth told Kelly that the football star was disrespecting veterans.

Attorney Eric Guster disagreed and thought that Kaepernick was eloquent. He said that Kaepernick was just speaking the truth and that Hegseth didn’t understand what it was like to be a black man.

Interestingly enough, the White House objects to Kaepernick’s protest. ABC News reports about the response.

“The White House today called NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s protest of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ ‘objectionable,’ but defended his constitutional right to demonstrate…Asked for President Obama’s reaction to Kaepernick’s actions, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest today signaled his personal disagreement, but indicated he hadn’t quizzed the president on the subject.”

Megyn Kelly, who usually remains objective during debates, was emotionally upset when talking about Kaepernick’s protest. However, as many have noted, if Kaepernick loses his contract, it will be due to his poor performance on the field.

What do you think about Kaepernick’s protest? Even if you think Kaepernick has the right, do you think he used his freedom correctly? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
