Fifth Harmony’s Ally Brooke Falls Twice On The MTV VMAs Stage [Video]

Fifth Harmony star Ally Brooke Hernandez found her black net gown to be a bit of a trip hazard at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The singer struggled to stay upright when taking to the stage with her Fifth Harmony bandmates at the VMAs on August 28, as the cameras saw the girl band star almost bite the dust twice while attending the big MTV music award show.

Ally’s first trip came as Fifth Harmony headed to the stage to accept one of their two awards of the night, where Ally almost fell flat on her face in front of the packed crowd that included famous faces like Britney Spears and Kim Kardashian.

Twitter user @rightheredinah posted a clip of Ally’s first VMAs trip on Twitter, which shows bandmate Dinah Jane accidentally stepping on the train of her black net gown as the Fifth Harmony girls walked up the steps to the stage to accept their Moonman.

“Dinah tripped Ally when the girls were accepting their award lmao,” the Fifth Harmony fan captioned the video of the pretty awkward VMAs moment between Ally and Dinah, and it looked like Hernandez wasn’t too pleased with her bandmate over the slip up that almost saw her fall to the ground on the VMAs stage.

But that wasn’t Ally’s only fall in her trip hazard dress.

Fifth Harmony fan @djanekhaled captured Ally’s second VMAs fall, posting a video of Ally appearing to trip again after the Fifth Harmony girls presented the VMA for Best New Artist to Joe Jonas and his band DNCE.

“ALLY TRIPPED LMAAAAOOO poor baby,” the Twitter fan captured the video of Ally’s second trip, which shows Ally almost falling to the floor before grabbing on to bandmate Normani Kordei’s arm to steady herself.

Fans were quick to acknowledge Ally Brooke’s trips on social media, joking about Hernandez’s multiple near misses.

“Ally tripped onstage twice but recovered like a queen,” Fifth Harmony fan @5harmania tweeted out after the VMAs, while @ReaganIsAPotato joked, “Ally from 5th harmony has tripped every time she’s been on camera lmao.”

Luckily, Ally didn’t actually fall to the floor while on the VMAs stage and the singer didn’t appear to let her pretty embarrassing little trips ruin Fifth Harmony’s big night.

The Fifth Harmony girls came away big winners on the night, taking home a VMA for Best Collaboration for “Work From Home” with Ty Dolla $ign as well as a prestigious Moonman for Song of the Summer for their latest hit “All In My Head (Flex)” featuring Fetty Wap.

“OOOOOOOOHHHHHH MY GOSH. WHAT. WHAT. WHAT!!!!! WE WON 2 VMAS!!!” Ally told her more than 1.7 million followers on social media after the VMAs. “BEST FANS EVER EVER EVER. I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH. THANK YOU & TY @MTV @vmas.”

But Ally’s recent VMA trip ups aren’t the only on-stage mishaps the Fifth Harmony star has suffered in recent weeks.

Just weeks before Ally tripped twice while attending the VMAs, Hernandez stumbled during a Fifth Harmony concert which left her with a twisted ankle.

According to iHeartRadio, footage captured by a concert-goer showed Ally limping on stage during Fifth Harmony’s “7/27 Tour” stop at Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston on July 28.

While it’s not clear exactly how Ally found herself injured during the Fifth Harmony concert, Hernandez took to Twitter to address the accident where she confirmed that she was in “major pain” while trying to perform.

“My foot was in major pain but I got checked out and I should be fine for tomorrow,” Ally told Fifth Harmony fans on Twitter following the concert. “I LOVE YOU.”
