Is Bethenny Frankel Planning To Marry Boyfriend Dennis Shields And Quit ‘Real Housewives Of New York City’?

Could Bethenny Frankel be planning to get married to boyfriend Dennis Shield just weeks after her divorce from her former husband, Jason Hoppy, was finalized?

While the Real Housewives of New York City star has previously said that she would never get married again, she didn’t seem like she was completely against the idea of marrying her “perfect match,” Shields, during a recent interview with People Magazine.

“I’m not sure if I would get married again. I don’t know if it suits me,” Bethenny Frankel explained to the magazine during a Skinnygirl event last week. “I haven’t been so great at my choices and so I’m a little more careful now.”

Bethenny Frankel married Jason Hoppy in 2010, and just under three years later, the couple called it quits. Following their split, Bethenny Frankel and her now-ex-husband were involved in a series of court battles until they finally came to an agreement regarding splitting their assets earlier this summer.

Now, weeks into her relationship with Shields, Bethenny Frankel is in a much happier place.

“I’m really happy, I don’t want to make any mistakes, I’ve just taken so long to get out of my marriage – longer than I ever imagined. It was really, really hard, and I feel really, really good – so I’m just loving my time with my daughter and being settled,” she explained.

As for Bethenny Frankel’s future with The Real Housewives of New York City, she recently hinted that she was done with the series.

“I’ve been definitely distancing myself from the show this summer. It was a long year,” Bethenny Frankel admitted during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, according to a report by All About the Real Housewives. “I’m glad that the audience is enjoying it, but I’ve left it behind.”

Bethenny Frankel explained that during filming on The Real Housewives of New York City reunion, her integrity was questioned, which she took very seriously. And while she tends to gloss over some lighter issues, she wasn’t prepared to be questioned in that matter and revealed that her typical quips and comebacks weren’t featured.

While Bethenny Frankel didn’t exactly confirm that she was not planning to appear on the reality series’ upcoming ninth season, she criticized the show for failing to include all aspects of their cast members’ lives and cited the lack of authenticity as her reason behind her contemplated exit.

“I live my life honestly. You have 50 percent of the cast that has a whole taboo, police line, ‘do not cross’ section of their life that is not discussed on camera and never has been,” Bethenny Frankel explained. “For legal issues and liability issues, Bravo doesn’t need to bring it up, and it’s a difficult line to ride, and that may be why I don’t come back.”

A short time after Bethenny Frankel’s interview was shared, Radar Online claimed the reality star couldn’t leave the show because she signed a 3-year contract with Bravo in 2014 when she returned to the series after a 3-season hiatus.

“[Bethenny Frankel]’s not going anywhere,” the source confirmed.

Bethenny Frankel appeared on the first three seasons of the show before leaving after Season 3 to pursue her own series and later, a talk show. Then, ahead of Season 7, she announced her return.
