Jessica Simpson Talks 60-Pound Weight Loss And Plastic Surgery

Jessica Simpson is in the best shape of her life these days. The busy mom-of-two is gracing the September 2016 cover of Women’s Health.

Now, she’s opening up about what it really takes to get her incredible body. Jessica Simpson, 36, talked about how she worked for her post-baby body and why she didn’t go under the knife. Simpson, like any celebrity mother, claims that chasing your children around will help you shed some of the pounds.

“Before I was a mom, I was dancing on tables at clubs and that was my workout,” the singer revealed, as previously cited by Today. “Now I’m chasing kids. Your bicep curls are picking up your kids.”

Of course, she didn’t lose all of the weight by simply chasing her kids around. Jessica says that she sees her body differently since she has become a mom.

“I’m hard on myself – I believe everything’s a work in progress. But that’s okay. I do love my legs, but my favorite physical attribute is my nose, because it’s not perfect. But recently, since I’ve worked out so hard, I’m also loving my stomach – knowing I grew babies in it, and then having to go through a transformation and just owning it.”

Simpson also confessed that she almost considered altering two of her most famous assets. She was considering going through the process of breast reduction, but she knew that both her and her husband, Eric Johnson, would not be happy with the change.

“My boobs just have their own life. They have a way of making themselves present. I thought I was going to get a breast reduction, but after having kids, I look at myself and I’m like, you know what, my boobs are actually really big, but I like how they are. They’re an asset, and Eric loves them still.”

Ever since Jessica posted some of the amazing photos from her Women’s Health photo shoot, other moms want to know how she does it. According to an August 9 report via Foods4BetterHealth, celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak has worked with Jessica, Selena Gomez, and a long list of other celebrities. She revealed some of Jessica’s weight loss and diet tips.

Simpson exercises five days a week. She will work out three days a week with her trainer doing strength training and cardio, and then do cardio on her own the other two days of the week. Simpson also walks for three miles every meal, according to an interview with Pop Sugar. She also enjoys walking on the treadmill instead of sitting on the couch while watching some of her favorite shows.

The former Weight Watchers spokesperson shed the pounds from her low-carb diet, according to Celebrity Health Fitness. It included high-quality proteins like salmon and chicken with a side of fresh vegetables and salads. Jessica also tries her best to avoid processed foods and limits her sugar intake. The fashion mogul has opened up about her fitness line, which she launched in November 2015 under her billion-dollar Jessica Simpson Collection brand.

“I have been every size there is. I know what looks good on a variety of body types. Every woman should feel like she can wear what the model is wearing down the runway.”

According to a report via Us Weekly, Simpson’s new athleisure line, the Warm Up, will also include colorful and fun footwear. Simpson told Extra that she wanted to make a line that allows a woman to go do errands and later hit up the gym without having to change. The footwear line will hit Macy’s stores, macys.com, and jessicasimpson.com in the fall. In the meantime, you can shop Simpson’s activewear line at the previously mentioned places.
