Kim Kardashian’s rapid weight loss after giving birth in December continues to surprise fans.
How did the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star lose 80 pounds after her pregnancy? According to Celebrity Health Fitness, Kardashian used a combination of diet, exercise, and plastic surgery to gain back her pre-baby form.
The reality star was recently spotted exiting the building of her well-known plastic surgeon, Dr. Simon Ourian. Kardashian visited her doctor for a skin tightening session and a tummy tuck, both of which do not involve surgery. An inside source told Radar Online that Kardashian isn’t planning on going under the knife anytime soon.
“Kim is doing a variety of non-surgical treatments to get rid of the fat,” the insider explained. “One of Kim’s favorite procedures to get done at her plastic surgeons is Ultherapy, which is a non-invasive way to firm and tighten saggy skin.”
Of course, Kardashian is doing a lot more than just skin tightening.
“Kim has been using this brand-new procedure that basically injects heat into fat cells so that they are destroyed,” the source revealed. “She has lost a majority of her weight with this and with another injection therapy called Mesotherapy.”
Kardashian got up to 200 pounds during her pregnancy but is currently sitting at a jaw-dropping 123 pounds.
“You guys, doesn’t my waist look Photoshopped?” she said alongside a video on Instagram. “It’s so crazy! It’s getting small!”
Kim Kardashian credits her diet as the main reason behind her slim figure. The reality star keeps a strict high-fat, low-carb Akins diet that encourages the body to use fat as fuel. Putting a limit on the carbs also helps to stop hunger cravings and stimulates energy.
Apart from the diet, Celebrity Health Fitness is reporting that Kardashian also exercised daily to shed the added weight.
For Kardashian, the process of losing the baby weight was a lot harder than it looks.
“I was so jealous of women who had these cute little baby bellies and would gain 25 pounds and then, a few weeks after giving birth, somehow look exactly like they did before they were pregnant,” she shared.
According to ET Online, Kardashian had a difficult time seeing herself gain so much weight during the pregnancy.
In fact, after giving birth in December, she didn’t think her body would ever recover.
“There was a moment after [Saint was born] when my body was mush,” she said in an interview with People. “I felt like Gumby. There was definitely a moment when I looked in the mirror and I was like, ‘I am never going to be the same.'”
Saint was Kardashian’s second baby with Kanye West. She also gave birth to North, who is now 3-years-old.
While Kardashian has yet to reach her ultimate weight goal, she is more than happy with her progress over the last few months.
“I definitely feel good,” she stated. “I really feel like all the hard work paid off.”
Kardashian added that she still has a few areas of her body that need work, but she still feels good about getting back in shape.
“My butt and my hips are the last to go, but I’m not stopping!” she said. “After having two kids, and being able to get in shape and still feel good about myself, I’ve never felt better. I worked my a** off, I’ve altered my life and I’m proud of that.”
In addition to the diet and exercise, Kardashian also uses waist training to sculpt her figure.
“This is a remarkable way to train your waist to be smaller,” Dr. Alexander Sinclair revealed, adding that some of his patients have lowered their waistline up to six inches.
