Tamar Braxton was fired from The Real three months ago, but footage has now resurfaced of the outburst that could have lost Braxton her job.
Enstarz recently claimed to have recovered the segment that could have gotten Tamar fired from the daytime talk show, revealing that Tamar’s over-the-top outburst during a segment sponsored by Pinterest back in May could have been the final straw.
In the clip, Tamar and former co-host Adrienne Bailon can be seen going head to head with Loni Love and Jeannie Mai during a craft competition, only to be less than thrilled when the audience declare Love and Mai the winners.
The almost 5-minute long clip shows Braxton head over to Loni and Jeannie’s table once they were declared the winners, knocking over the twosome’s craft pieces before storming back to her station with Bailon.
“Hold up! Hold up!… No!” Tamar shouts in the clip before appearing to tell her co-hosts and the show’s audience, “I’m not playing.”
Braxton’s co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley then told viewers that the group would be playing the game again next season, to which Tamar replied, “I’m not playing next season… lies!” just weeks before it was announced that she had been let go from the series.
Tamar and The Real have yet to comment on reports that her outburst during the Pinterest segment was behind Braxton’s firing, though rumors have swirled for months that it was the seriously competitive The Real competition that became the final straw for the daytime talk show’s producers.
The Daily Mail reported immediately following Braxton’s firing that it was her Pinterest outburst that became the final nail in the coffin of her The Real position, claiming that Braxton’s behavior only worsened after the cameras stopped rolling.
“It was an ugly scene. Pinterest was sponsoring the segment and Tamar was genuinely upset she was losing the game,” a The Real production source told the site earlier this year.
“Tamar really acted out during the taping in front of the studio audience and then exploded behind the scenes once the show was done,” the source continued, alleging that representatives for Pinterest were shocked by the way Braxton behaved while advertising the ideas app.
The Daily Mail‘s insider also claimed the footage broadcast and later uploaded to YouTube was actually a heavily edited version of what actually went down between Braxton and her now former co-hosts.
“Producers had to heavily edit the segment to make it presentable to air on TV, but the sponsor was on set for the segment and witnessed it all,” the site said of Braxton’s outburst.
“I wish that I would stop being brought up since I was so BAD,” Tamar tweeted and deleted on August 5 after Loni admitted that none of the show’s hosts have spoken to Braxton while Tamera claimed that she was still on good terms with Braxton.
“I’ve never said anything bad nor will I,” Tamar tweeted. “No shade… but don’t believe the hype! I haven’t spoken to [anyone]… real friends don’t need press.”
Tamar then appeared to slam both Tamera and Adrienne on the 140-character site, accusing her former friends of attending her son’s third birthday party back in June to take photos to prove their attendance and “save their a***s” amid the drama.
Do you think the recently resurfaced footage led to Tamar Braxton being fired from The Real?
