Johnny Depp Worried About Financial Settlement In Divorce Drama With Heard
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are currently in the heat of the divorce proceedings, and Depp has made it known that he wishes the divorce to be finalized quickly. A source spoke with People on the subject.
“Johnny would like to see this divorce finalized as soon as possible. He’s concerned with the financial settlement and how she will react going forward.”
While Depp is eager to see the proceedings take place and be over with as soon as possible, over his head additionally looms the claims by Heard of abuse, which Depp’s legal team has stated is an attempt by Amber to “secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse.”

A source recently spoke in regards to the turmoil that the case has brought Depp and the sadness he feels at the marriage ending.
“It’s a very sad situation for him. He feels stressed about all the Amber drama… He never anticipated getting a divorce. He just wants it all the be over and move on.”
Interestingly enough, Heard showed up on Saturday prepared to be questioned during the deposition by Johnny’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, yet was never called to be questioned about her claims of abuse. A source for Heard shares about the surprising outcome of the deposition.
“Amber was ready, willing and able to go forward with her deposition. She waited for 10 hours, and at no time did Amber refuse to start the deposition.”
Although clear details were not given in regards to the intentions of both star’s legal teams, it is believed that both sides are reportedly discussing settling. Johnny Depp is schedules to be deposed when both he and Heard are expected to appear. This stage in the process will occur on August 15 and August 16.

The source adds that Amber Heard is also keen to simply move forward.
“Amber and her attorneys are ready to proceed.”
It seems as though the former couple is set to be civil and make this process as painless as possible. In May, the world was made known of the breakup between the two who had been married for only a year. Even more shocking were the claims brought forward by Heard that Depp had been physically abusive to her throughout their entire relationship. People reminds of the details of the case, at the time Heard filed for a restraining order against her now-estranged husband.
“‘Amber Heard has filed a domestic violence restraining order against Johnny Depp,’ as a source tells PEOPLE. ‘This was not an isolated event. This was only the latest incident.’ A photo that Heard, 30, submitted as evidence in the claim shows the actress with what appears to be a bruise on her right eye.”
Following Heard’s accusations against Depp, the Pirates of the Caribbean star released a statement by way of his rep, within which he insisted the claims by Heard to be completely false.
“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
After only 15 months of marriage, Amber Heard filed for divorce on the basis of irreconcilable differences and noted that it was for the best so that she did not have to suffer anymore strife. A source relayed at the time that “Amber did what she had to do to take care of herself.”
As noted, the former couple were married for a little over a year, and there were reports of drama in their marriage as well as in their relationship prior to marrying.
