Why Rihanna Won’t Settle Down With Drake

Drake is reportedly ready to settle down with Rihanna, but why is she so reluctant to get serious?

According to reports, Rihanna is biding her time when it comes to her recent reconciliation with Drake, despite the two reportedly dating again, because she’s still not convinced that the rapper is actually ready for a serious relationship.

“He’s proven to her time and time again that she’s replaceable and that’s cool,” a source recently told Hollywood Life of Drake and Rihanna’s relationship. “[Rihanna’s] got love for Drake but he’s made his bed several times and has proven to her he’s not ready for anything serious.”

“If it ain’t Rihanna, it will be another girl,” the insider said, admitting that “[Rihanna’s] cool on Drake in an intimate setting.”

The latest dating drama reports come just days after E! News revealed that Rihanna was slowing things down and not putting a label on her relationship with Drake, just weeks after it was revealed that the two are dating again.

“Rihanna and Drake are hanging out a bit more lately,” a source told the site amid the dating reports, but admitted that although Rihanna “loves” Drake she’s “still not ready to put a title” on their relationship just yet.

The insider then went on to reveal that Drake is doing all he can to win over Rihanna and make her his official girlfriend, even letting her know on several occasions that he wants to settle down.

“Drake has expressed to Rihanna that he only wants to date her and only her, but she wants to take day by day this time around,” the site’s source revealed. “Drake would make her his girlfriend in a second if he could.”

Drake and Rihanna are yet to officially comment on the dating rumors and the current status of their relationship, though Drake hasn’t exactly been shy about making some pretty big declarations of love when it comes to trying to win Rihanna around.

According to Lainey Gossip, while the two were in Toronto, Canada, together for OVO Fest on July 31, Drake allegedly hired out an entire aquarium after hours for a romantic date night with the “We Found Love” singer.

“[Drake] booked out the place after midnight and had them set up a fancy dinner right in front of the glass,” multiple sources confirmed to the site, revealing that Drake and Rihanna got pretty cozy on their date night as they enjoyed “romance by fishtank light.”

But it’s not just in private where Drake has been making his feelings for Rihanna known.

Drake has also taken his love to the stage on multiple occasions in the past few days, gushing over Rihanna as the dating rumors swirl at OVO Fest and during his recent ‘Summer Sixteen tour’ shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Page Six reported that Drake told concert goers in New York city that he’s “got love” for Rihanna during his show, just days after he told Rihanna that he was ready to “go half on a baby” with her while the two performed their biggest hits, including “Work” and “Take Care,” on the OVO Fest stage.

According to Us Weekly, Drake wasn’t shy about his very public proclamation of love amid the dating rumors, telling Rihanna during the show, “You showed up two nights in a row for my city. You might have to go half on a baby.”

Rihanna then appeared to confirm that their relationship is back on, calling the rapper “baby” during the show before Drake described her as being “the greatest entertainer in the world.”
