Former ‘Bachelorette’ Jillian Harris Had A Baby Boy!

Former Bachelorette Jillian Harris and partner Justin Pasutto, who she met when he was a contestant on the show, have been together for four years. As People reported, the couple decided to wait a while to begin trying to get pregnant. Jillian, 32-years-old, explained that they wanted to wait for 24-year-old Justin “to ‘catch up’ in age” with her.

E! Online quotes the Bachelorette star as saying this about their decision to wait to get pregnant.

“It’s a wonderful thing to have, but for me I just want that to happen when we’re both ready. In the meantime, it doesn’t make our relationship any less strong. So whenever he’s ready, it’s fine!”

Once they started trying, one of the few lasting couples to come out of the Bachelor and Bachelorette series were pregnant quickly. In an Instagram post announcing her pregnancy, Jillian said,

“In late 2015, right before my 36 birthday, we ‘practiced for baby’ … and got lucky, we found out 12 days BEFORE my 36th birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!”

The name of the baby isn’t known at this point, but Bachelorette Jillian did share that he came at 6:02 a.m. yesterday and weighed in at 6 pounds and 12 ounces. She shared this post, including a photo of her baby bump, on Instagram just three days ago.

The former Bachelorette star is also the host of HGTV’s Love It or List It Too. Jillian has shared much of her pregnancy with her Instagram followers. Among the experiences she had while pregnant that she chose to share on Instagram was her baby shower. E! Online reported on the event that was held in March and included Kaitlyn Bristowe, who was both a contestant on Season 19 of The Bachelor and the star of Season 11 of The Bachelorette. Kaitlyn is still engaged to the contestant to whom she gave her final rose, Shawn Booth. She took to Instagram while attending Jillian’s baby shower.

“In a world full of hate, surround yourself with beautiful souls like this one. Don’t let our next generation continue to hate. Teach kids to be kind, by being kind. #jillysbean.”

The event was apparently a huge success as Jillian posted her awe at the experience.

“Today was unreal. I am literally staring at this picture lost for a caption, It’s been 20 minutes and all I can think of is, this baby is SO loved already. This was probably one of the most beautiful events I have ever been to, and the fact that it was in honor of our little bean, has me beaming with excitement, love, pride & gratitude.”

The former Bachelorette opted out of gifts at her baby shower, requesting that, instead of gifts, those attending make donations to BabyGoRound.

As a former Bachelorette and now host of Love It or List It Too, Jillian has lots of followers — and over 540,000 Instagram followers. The Daily Mail reports that as she shared her pregnancy with those followers, she was judged for her choices and sometimes was criticized for what her followers perceived she was doing, whether accurate or not. An example was a couple of photos Jillian shared of herself with a cup of coffee.

The Bachelorette beauty received a lot of criticism for the pictures. Jillian commented on the attacks.

“Today has been rough because I posted a picture of me this morning in the car with a cup of coffee, and then later on I posted another pic of a coffee. All of these people are like ‘You shouldn’t be drinking so much caffeine.

“I’m like, well, first of all, it could be decaf. Second of all, I stopped drinking alcohol, I stopped partying, I don’t do Botox anymore … I’m going to drink my d*** coffee!”

Now months later, the former Bachelorette is celebrating with her partner. They welcomed a new life into their world and we all celebrate with them.
