‘Gears Of War 4’ Ups Pre-Order Bonuses With Anya, Zombie Dom, And Marcus Skins

The Coalition and Microsoft announced a new set of pre-order bonuses Wednesday for Gears of War 4 for the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. The upcoming third-person shooter is enticing fans to purchase early by bringing back a trio of favorite characters, with one of them as a zombie.

Pre-ordering Gears of War 4 on either Xbox One or Windows 10 from any retailer will grant access to the Brothers to the End Elite Gear Pack. This pack comes with “Tomorrow Anya,” based on the character’s appearance from the “Tomorrow” trailer posted to YouTube along with Old Man Marcus in the same trailer. They are joined by a zombie version of Marcus’ best friend, Dominic Santiago, who died in Gears of War 3.

Zombie Dom definitely looks worse for the wear. There is no indication from The Coalition on if the character will work his way into the game’s campaign or not, but the developer has stated all three characters can be used in multiplayer Versus matches, along with Horde mode.

  • “Tomorrow Anya” is named after her famous words following the end of the Locust War (“Tomorrow Marcus. We finally have a tomorrow.”) Her appearance is based on her look in the Gears of War 4 television commercial, “Tomorrow,” where she was introduced as the mother of JD Fenix.
  • “Old Man Marcus” features an older Marcus Fenix, as unveiled in the E3 2016 media briefing demo. Twenty-five years after the Locust War, Marcus and the COG have long since parted ways. His facial hair has grown long and his COG regulation kit has been replaced with by civilian clothes.
  • “Zombie Dom” proves there’s no keeping a good solider down, at least in the form of this character skin created as tribute to Marcus’ dearly departed best friend Dominic Santiago.
