‘Teen Mom 2’ Leah Messer And Corey Simms Are Co-Parenting ‘Extremely Well’ And ‘On Great Terms’

Teen Mom 2 stars Leah Messer and Corey Simms have reportedly made amazing progress with their relationship in the last year.

After struggling to work together for their kids, 6-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah, for years, a source claims the former couple is on good terms.

On August 4, a source confirmed to Radar Online that Leah Messer and Corey Simms are currently co-parenting their twin daughters “extremely well.”

Leah Messer and Corey Simms tied the knot in 2010, about a year after their daughters were born, but in 2011, they split after just months of marriage when Simms discovered Leah Messer had cheated. Following their divorce, Leah Messer and Corey Simms moved on and got remarried — Messer to Jeremy Calvert and Simms to wife Miranda — but in 2013, they engaged in an affair that was discussed on the MTV series.

After their affair, Leah Messer and Corey Simms’ relationship with one another appeared to take a turn for the worse, and during Teen Mom 2 Season 6, Simms and his wife accused Messer of hiding a drug problem. Months later, just a short time after her second divorce was finalized, Leah Messer lost primary custody of their twins.

While Leah Messer eventually gained back some time with her kids, she hinted that her custody battle was far from over during an episode of Teen Mom 2 Season 7. Now, however, things between her and Simms are reportedly going well, and when it comes to their future, Leah Messer will likely continue to be trusted with more time with the girls. In fact, Simms showed his trust in Leah Messer just days ago.

According to the Radar Online report, Corey Simms signed off on Leah Messer’s trip to Southern California, where she and her children, including her youngest daughter, 3-year-old Adalynn, have been enjoying some summer fun at Great Wolf Lodge.

“Both [Leah Messer] and Corey are very happy with the new schedule,” a source said earlier this year. “They are on great terms.”

Simms takes care of Ali and Aleeah from Monday after school until Thursday morning, and Leah Messer spends time with the girls on the remaining days. Simms also gets Ali and Aleeah on the second weekend of the month.

“It was like a slap in the face,” Leah Messer told Us Weekly, via MTV News, at the end of last year after it was revealed that a judge had ruled against her during her court battle with Simms.

According to the report, Simms scheduled a hearing in August after learning that his children were reportedly being taken to school late. On the show, fans watched as Leah Messer struggled to get her children to school on time, and at one point, her daughter Aleeah was seen complaining that she wasn’t being fed. However, according to Leah Messer, she was only late to school once and could prove that the allegations against her were incorrect.

“I talked to the superintendent,” Leah Messer explained to the magazine. “I’m sending them the [time-stamped] pictures I took to prove the girls were not tardy. They’re going to take them off.”

“I feel like they should have both of us in their lives,” Leah Messer added of her and Simms’ twin girls. “At the end of the day, my kids are going to be happy, and I don’t care what I have to do to make them happy.”

Leah Messer is currently in production on the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2.
