Selena Gomez And Justin Bieber Won’t Get Back Together Now That He’s Dissed Her BFF Taylor Swift?
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have faced rumors of a reunion for the last couple of years, but is a reconciliation off the table now that Bieber publicly dissed Taylor Swift, Gomez’s best friend, on Instagram?
Following Swift’s highly publicized feud with Kanye West, 22-year-old Bieber took to Instagram, where he posted a photo of a screenshot of himself chatting with the rapper. In the caption, he mentioned Swift by name. “Taylor Swift what up” he wrote.
Although Selena Gomez didn’t publicly respond to the post, the 24-year-old singer can’t be too happy to see that Bieber has sided with West.
According to a report by the International Business Times on August 2, Selena Gomez’s ex-boyfriend’s relationship with Swift has been strained for years and during their own relationship, Swift made it clear that she didn’t approve of Gomez’s love for Bieber.

During the 2013 Billboard Awards, Swift was asked about her thoughts on Bieber winning the Milestone Award, but rather than answer the question, Swift requested she be asked something different. Around the same time, Swift was caught on camera sticking out her tongue in disgust when Selena Gomez gave Bieber a quick kiss behind the stage.
“Justin knows Taylor doesn’t like him and never will and the feeling is mutual, but he is smart enough to know not to say anything in public or on social media because he knows all the scrutiny he’d endure,” an insider explained to Hollywood Life in April. “He never expects to be her friend and is not looking to be her friend. He blames Taylor for some of his issues with [Selena Gomez] and that will never go away.”
Around the same time, another source claimed Swift was encouraging Selena Gomez to cut ties with Bieber once and for all.
“Taylor has been pretty quiet about voicing her opinion on Justin, but she’s now speaking up about him again to Selena,” the second source told Hollywood Life. “After what he pulled at the iHeartRadio Awards, Taylor really wants her to cut ties with Justin once and for all. None of this back and forth stuff. Taylor has been telling Selena that once she makes a commitment to shut the door on him completely, she will meet the true man of her dreams.”

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber dated from 2010 to 2012, and ever since, they have been on and off. Last December, Selena Gomez appeared to be on the verge of getting back with her ex-boyfriend when the two were spotted together in Beverly Hills, California, where Bieber sang “My Girl” to the songstress. However, just a short time later, Bieber went public with 19-year-old model Hailey Baldwin during a tropical vacation over the holidays.
In the months that followed Selena Gomez and Bieber’s Beverly Hills rendezvous, Bieber was spotted with a number of women, including Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian and model Jessica Serfaty. Then, in March, it was Gomez who appeared to be on his mind yet again.
In mid-March, Bieber posted a photo on Instagram of himself and Selena Gomez in a pool together. In the picture, which was clearly years old, the former couple was seen kissing one another. In the caption, Bieber wrote, “Feels.” A short time later, Selena Gomez added fuel to the rumors of a reunion with a photo like and comment, which said, “Perfect.”
Although Selena Gomez attended one of Bieber’s concerts in Los Angeles just days later, the outing marked the last for the former couple and in the months since Gomez showed her support for Bieber’s career, he has been seen with Kardashian and Baldwin.
