Gisele Bundchen Celebrates Tom Brady’s Birthday And Not Getting ‘Robbed’ At Rio Olympics

It’s Tom Brady’s birthday today, and Gisele Bundchen is not going to let it go unnoticed! The Brazilian model celebrated the 39-year-old quarterback’s birthday by making a sweet post on Instagram. She is also probably celebrating the fact that the segment in the Olympics opening ceremony show, where she gets robbed, is now cut.

The supermodel posted a picture of her kissing Tom Brady to mark his birthday. Seeing how she is in Rio preparing for the opening ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympics, she must be feeling all the feels as she cannot be near him on his big day.

She also celebrated her own birthday just a week ago. She didn’t forget to thank her fans for all the good wishes on Instagram.

Returning to her home country to work on the Olympics show has not been very easy. She was involved in a segment where she gets assailed by robbers on stage, which sends a mixed message about the state of security in Brazil as well as women’s issues.

“Reports surfaced after a dress rehearsal for the highly anticipated show, that will air to around 900 million people worldwide on Friday night, when attendees started to disclose details of what they had witnessed on social-media platforms,” reports Vogue UK. “Bündchen will allegedly start walking down a catwalk to the sound of The Girl From Ipanema, before she is confronted by her assailants. Actors depicting Brazilian police will then chase and catch the perpetrators.”

But since the rumors leaked, it looks like this Olympics segment has been cut, with the director having realized that it was “not funny.”

“It was a gag that was not funny so we cut it,” he explained, according to the Toronto Sun. “There was nothing that looked like a robbery in the scene except two security guards chasing after a vendor. They are three professional clowns.”

Tom Brady probably won’t let his wife get even mock robbed on a public stage.

This year’s Olympics opening ceremony will also include Brazilian football legend Pele, who “may light the Olympic flame to signify the opening of the games,” and possibly “actresses Judi Dench and Fernanda Montenegro,” according to Sportsrageous.

The famous model retired last year and hoped to make more time with her husband, Tom Brady, and their children, Vivian Lake and Benjamin, whom she often posts about on her social media.

With that controversy out of the way, Gisele can concentrate on other important matters in her life. As well as preparing for the opening show of the Olympics, the 36-year-old model is getting ready to move into her newly acquired house.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen just bought a “$20 million-plus apartment in a waterfront Tribeca building,” which, according to Page Six, has “a sprawling terrace, is on a high floor and offers stunning views of Manhattan.”

Their new purchase hints that they are getting more and more attached to New York, which, based on the fact that Gisele is retired and Tom on the brink of it, may just become a comfortable holiday home when they are in need of some urban therapy.

When their Tribeca building is done, Tom and Gisele will most likely sell their previous home “in the One Madison,” according to the Daily Mail.

She does not seem concerned about the fact that his ex-wife Bridget Moynahan lives in the area. If Tom and Gisele can take pictures as sweet as this one, they probably don’t have much to worry about in their relationship!
