Kristen Stewart Gets Real About Romance With Alicia Cargile: ‘Finally, I Can Feel Again’

Kristen Stewart is opening up about her love life again, and what makes this so noteworthy is the way in which she discusses her romance in such a bold and honest fashion. Whether she’s talking about her sexual orientation, gender identity, or her current romance with Alicia Cargile, Stewart talks as plainly as she would if she were speaking about her favorite recipes or her latest film, which happens to be Woody Allen’s Cafe Society. Kristen is refreshingly open about herself, and while she does value her privacy from time to time, she also seems to understand that fans will always be curious about her off-screen activities.

Cafe Society Star Kristen Stewart Opens Up About Loving Alicia Cargile

Pop Wrapped shares the news that Kristen Stewart is finally accepting happiness with her love life. Ms. Stewart talks frankly about her personal life, revealing just how drastically her opinions about public interest in her love life has changed. In speaking of a past relationship with a man, Stewart doesn’t name names, but it seems pretty clear that she’s speaking of Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson when she describes how intense media interest was in the off-screen love affair. She says she began doing everything she could to hide the details of their romance because so much was “trivialized” in the media. Stewart says that the relationship felt commercialized and ridiculed.

While it may be mere coincidence, Kristen says her views changed when she started dating a woman. Again, she won’t name the lover, but could it be Alicia Cargile? In any case, Stewart says she feels completely different about public interest in her love life these days.

“I was like, ‘Actually, to hide this provides the implication that I’m not down with it or I’m ashamed of it,’ so I had to alter how I approached being in public,” says Kristen. “It opened my life up and I’m so much happier.”

Public interest has definitely made her life more difficult, but Stewart says that the media isn’t entirely to blame for the hurdles she’s come across in her love life. Kristen admits that life without long-time girlfriend Alicia Cargile has been far less thrilling and joyous, so she admits to feeling as though this may be the great love of her life.

“I think also right now I’m just really in love with my girlfriend,” confesses Stewart. “We’ve broken up a couple of times and gotten back together, and this time I was like, ‘Finally, I can feel again.'”

Kristen Stewart On Battling Her Demons

In a new interview with Elle UK, Ms. Stewart admits that much of her past has been troubled, due to her constant struggles with anxiety and stress. She says her anxiety would manifest itself physically, giving her panic attacks and stomach aches. Kristen says she was a control freak, something that still affects her, even though she no longer gets panicky when she realizes a situation is out of her control. Mostly, Stewart has outgrown much of that anxiety. She still worries, but she adds that she doesn’t let it get so bad that it causes her to become physically ill. Stewart has learned to take it in stride.

“I obviously hope everything going on right now will work out, but I am confident that life is good and I’ll be OK whatever happens,” says Ms. Stewart. “So in moments when that is cloudy and I feel saturated and unable to engage in how good life can be, however consuming those feelings are, they are so momentary…I’m think pretty good at being happy.”

Kristen adds that work is therapy for her. She says no matter what in her life is threatening to upset her and cause her to stress out, getting back to work is the best thing she can do. Whether it’s just a bad day, or something more personal, Kristen says working on a film or modeling will always help her take her mind off things and give her a chance to put things in perspective.
