Justin Bieber’s Mom Likes Selena Gomez, But Jarianator Fans Want Ariana Grande
Justin Bieber may not be choosing his girlfriends based on the views of his mother or his loyal fans. But if he does decide to let his mom, Pattie Mallette, or his faithful Beliebers influence his romances, it might be challenging to choose between his eternally off-again on-again relationship with Selena Gomez and is-it-actually-happening blossoming relationship with Ariana Grande.
Pattie let her preference for Selena slip when she was wishing Gomez a happy birthday this month, noted Elle.
“A birdie told me it was your birthday @selenagomez. Many tweets from the bird or may have been several birds maybe? #HappyBirthdaySelena,” posted Mallette.
“I am blessed to know you @selenagomez & celebrate this precious day you were born! Don’t let them get to you. Keep UR peace & joy #LoveWins,” she wrote encouragingly.
Then came the bombshell that brought hope and joy to fans of Justin and Selena (known in their couple days as Jelena). A fan followed up, including both Bieber’s mother and Gomez in the tweet, pleading to say that Jelena still lives.

Mallette followed up by showing she liked the Jelena tweet, as noted by the fan hoping that Selena and Justin would rekindle their romance. But others pointed out that having Bieber’s mother favorite a message about Gomez and Bieber does not represent the former couple.
“And when pattie liked it…[she] is not Justin or Selena,” noted one follower.

As for whether this birthday message for Selena comes out of nowhere, Gossip Cop clarified that the comment about not letting “them get to you” appeared to refer to recent criticism for Gomez on Twitter.
The backlash occurred when Selena stepped up to defend her pal Taylor Swift following the epic feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Gomez and Bieber’s mother have been acquainted for years.
Some fans speculated that Justin wrote “Love Yourself” about Selena, in particular the lyrics that throw shade.
“My mama don’t like you and she likes everyone.”
However, as shown by the Twitter messages to Selena, Mallette is very fond of Gomez.
Twitter soon reflected that hope. The #JelenaWillNeverRiseParty hashtag began to trend, and believers in the romantic potential of Ariana and Justin even coined their own nickname: Jarianator.
Those followers wanting to declare the end of Jelena emphasized their belief that Grande was the new Selena, while Gomez and Bieber romance fans continued to urge for a rekindling of that famous romance. The Jarianator group pointed to Instagram as evidence.
Bieber shared a picture in which he is portrayed as Pikachu.
The watermark revealed that the photo comes from a fan account that seeks to ship the singer with Grande. Eagle-eyed fans noted a similar photo posted by Ariana at almost the same time.
While fans support the notion of Justin and Ariana together, are both free to become involved? Bieber seems to be, floating from one casual fling to another, adding everyone from 19-year-old model Hailey Baldwin to 37-year-old reality TV queen Kourtney Kardashian to his romantic relationship resume in the past year.
As for Grande, it’s farewell to her now-former boyfriend Ricky Alvarez, reported People.
The two were together for about a year. Ariana posted a series of tweets that appeared to sum up her views on the breakup.
“Life is wild,” tweeted Grande. “…change is f***ing fantastic.”
