Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Plan To Adopt 7th Child Now That ‘Divorce Is Off’?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been repeatedly rumored to be experiencing marriage problems. But now an insider described as a “close friend” of the duo says that after rekindling their romantic relationship, Jolie and Pitt are working on plans to adopt another child, according to In Touch.

The media outlet claims that Angelina and Brad “fought their way back from the brink of divorce and reconnected as a couple.” And according to their friend, the adoption will provide Jolie and Pitt with a special way to celebrate their marriage.

“They’re celebrating saving their marriage with the best present possible: a seventh child. Now that the divorce is off and they’re back on track, they feel adopting another child will strengthen their relationship even more.”

In addition, the pal revealed that Angelina and Brad have decided to adopt an older child. At this point, they are looking in Africa and hope that by making a point of not searching for a baby, they can raise awareness of the need for prospective parents for older boys and girls.

“Brad and Angie also believe that adopting an older child will make people aware of orphans who are often overlooked,” clarified their friend. “According to Angie, everybody seems to want to adopt babies when there are so many other wonderful, worthy and deserving older children out there.”

Pitt and Jolie are searching in South Africa, Burundi, or Ethiopia, according to their pal. But it’s the age of their new offspring that is most important to Angelina and her husband, who are reportedly concerned about blending a seventh little one into their family.

“They feel that by adopting a child who is 10 or older, he or she will mix in better with their rambunctious kids, who are getting bigger by the day,” explained the insider.

Angelina’s and Brad’s children range in age from Maddox, who is 14, to the twins Vivienne and Knox, who just celebrated their eighth birthday. Those three, along with 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, and 10-year-old Shiloh, have been excited since Pitt and Jolie shared the plan, added the insider.

“The kids can’t wait to add another brother or sister to their gang of six.”

Initially, Angelina and Brad planned to adopt a child from “a more war-torn region in the Middle East,” according to a source cited by Hollywood Life. However, they changed their minds after discovering that adopting in that area was “much more difficult.”

Moreover, adding to the appeal of Africa, Shiloh (who is Angelina and Brad’s first biological offspring) was born in Namibia. As for their projected date for the adoption, Pitt and Jolie reportedly hope to finalize their plans next year. Although Angelina and her husband want a boy, according to the insider, they are open to any youngster who needs a hope.

“Right now Brad and Angie are leaning toward adopting a boy. But truthfully, they’d be happy with any addition,” added the source. “Brad’s always said he wanted enough kids for a soccer team — and he’s getting his wish!”

In addition to reportedly celebrating saving their marriage, Jolie and Pitt are “inspiring” in publicizing their belief in the value of adopting older children, pointed out She Knows.

Angelina and Brad have become known for using their platform for causes such as housing in New Orleans and environmental issues, and now, based on their new report, Jolie and Pitt have the potential to give a publicity boost to older children in the foster care system who need a permanent home.

As to what life might be like at the Jolie and Pitt household for the new addition, if the adoption comes through? As the Inquisitr reported, Angelina and Brad seek to provide their children with a relatively normal life, from a fondness for family-friendly panda movies to a birthday breakfast featuring pancakes.
