Are Drake & Rihanna Racing Down The Aisle To Become The Next Beyoncé & Jay Z?
Ever since Rihanna and Drake have been officially confirmed as a couple, fans have been hoping that the two will get married. While the two artists have been “secretly dating” for the past few months, it’s likely that they will also get secretly married.
An inside source revealed in the August 1 issue of Life & Style magazine that Rihanna and Drake could be well on their way to the alter very soon. Don’t expect a lavish ceremony, though. The couple has agreed on having a small ceremony in Rihanna’s native land. They may even skip their original wedding plans so that they can elope and have babies as soon as possible.
“Rihanna and Drake have talked about getting married and have even discussed eloping. Rihanna has always wanted to get married [in her native Barbados]. Rihanna is really close to her niece, and it’s made her realize she wants a baby soon…Rihanna is overwhelmed with how happy she is with him.”
And, apparently, Drake is on board with his girlfriend, with the source adding that “Drake would love to be a dad.”
The Rihanna and Drake dating rumors have gone all the way back to 2012 when they first collaborated on their hit songs, “Take Care” and “What’s My Name?” But, ever since they released two steamy videos for their new song “Work,” they have been spotted having killer chemistry on their onstage performances and having secret dates together.
One source revealed to People magazine back in May that the two have been secretly dating for the past few months.
“They have been keeping it a secret because this time around, they want to do it right and keep their relationship private.”
Amid the engagement rumors, E! News has published a report on why they think Drake and Rihanna could very welcome become the next Beyoncé and Jay Z.

If the two stars were to last and get married, they could be hip-hop’s new reigning couple. Just like Bey and Jay, Drake and Rihanna are low-key when it comes to their relationship. Although they haven’t made any red carpet appearances, they have teased fans with their sightings at concerts and paparazzi shots in and out of nightclubs.
They are also both super successful young artists who already have their own growing empires. Rihanna is currently traveling on her sold-out “Anti World Tour.” Her supporting album, Anti, sold well on the music charts as she releases hit songs. Drake’s latest album, Views, rose to No. 1 on the charts. Plus, he has one of the hottest songs of the summer called “One Dance” featuring Kyla and Wizkid.
Rihanna has also been making her mark in the beauty and fashion industry. She already has her own clothing line, along with collaborations with Dior, Manolo Blahnik, and Puma. RiRi also has her perfume lien and is reported to come out with her first-ever makeup line. Meanwhile, Drake has his OVOXO brand, which includes pop-up shops across the country.
Both stars have dabbled into film and television actor. In addition, Drake has become part owner of the Toronto Raptors, boosting his already huge net worth.
And like Beyoncé and Jay-Z, the two have appeared on each other’s social media pages. Their most recent social media post was from Rihanna recalling the time they met a young fan who lost her battle to cancer.
“I had the pleasure of meeting an angel on earth! After my show in Miami, @champagnepapi introduced me to Megan! She’s inspired me so much with her strength and her perspective on life! So fearless and kind! It’s heavy news that I can’t slide into your DMs anymore like I used to!! There was always a smile waiting for me there! You brightened any day! Rest up baby girl! We will miss you!!” Rihanna wrote in the caption with a photo of the trio.
