Marina Joyce Breaks Silence On Twitter: Does Marina Have Schizophrenia?

Marina Joyce’s Twitter feed is on fire after the recent strange behavior the beauty vlogger exhibited. Joyce’s fans were super concerned about her safety, but she’s finally spoken out to address their worries after a period of unusual silence.

Marina had some obvious bruises showing in the video she posted right before going silent. According to Hollywood Life, “her eyes would frequently lose focus” during July 22 vlog entry “Date Outfit Ideas.” Three days later, Joyce is finally giving her followers some reassurance about her well-being.

“I’m TOTALLY fine guys,” Marina tweeted on July 27. “I am feeling very good today and it’s actually so heartwarming to see so many people care about me.”

The 19-year-old YouTube sensation also included the #SaveMarinaJoyce hashtag that her worried fans had been using once they started to panic about the safety and well-being of their idol.

Marina followed the tweet with a live stream so that anxious followers could see for themselves that all was well. While we hope that it’s true and Marina is doing great, many of her adoring followers thought she seemed uneasy during the live stream. The comments kept coming from people who weren’t convinced she was telling the truth, and many were clearly still worried about her.

Marina did finally admit that she’s been having some troubles lately but refused to share the details, only repeatedly saying that she is doing okay and that there’s no need to worry anymore about her.

“I can’t say what happened.”

Some Twitter users think they have the answer and are talking about the possibility that Marina suffers from schizophrenia.

The panic over Joyce started when somebody tweeted that the teenage beauty star had been abducted by extremists with ISIS. The rumor flew around the world that Marina was being forced to lure susceptible young women into a terror trap. Others thought she was the victim of an abusive boyfriend or on drugs.

According to the Sun, Marina knew nothing about the situation she’d created by disappearing from YouTube for a couple of days. She was just living quietly, doing her thing, when she checked Twitter and saw the Twitter “hashtag trending and people started to get worried.”

The fears quickly escalated into a frenzy. After would-be detectives found signs of a hooded cameraman reflected in Marina’s eyes during the “Date Outfit” video, #SaveMarina began to trend worldwide, and one fan even called the police!

Marina couldn’t believe how many people were trying to find out what happened to her.

“People really care about me and it went crazy and blew up. People out there are really kind.”

She was also glad to note that the whole ISIS scare got her “lots more [YouTube channel] viewers which is really good” and went on to yet again reassure everyone that she’s okay, wasn’t kidnapped, and said that “[t]here are no ISIS terrorists here.”

Joyce said that she decided to speak in person to her viewers after two police officers showed up at her door at 3 a.m. to make sure she was all right. They had so many calls about Marina that they sent squad cars to check up on her and talk with Marina’s mom, who was “asleep in bed” at that hour of the morning. Marina’s mom assured the cops of her safety.

Finally, at 3:34 a.m., the wait was over for all the frightened Twitter followers and YouTube watchers. The police took to Twitter to communicate Joyce’s well-being as widely as possible.

“Officers have visited YouTube user Marina Joyce. She is safe and well,” they tweeted.

Marina says that now she’s feeling very loved and cared for.

“I love my viewers caring so much for me,” she said. “Because of them I will never be in danger. They all want me to be OK.”
