Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Exchange Sweet Tweets, Blake Talks Politics

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have taken their love to social media yet again, but Blake wasn’t just thinking of his girlfriend when he went on his latest tweeting spree. The current political climate has him convinced that he and Gwen could be America’s next president and first lady. Blake has even picked his VP nominee, and it’s not Adam Levine. According to Blake, there’s only one cabinet position suitable for his BFF on The Voice.

As E! News reports, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani currently can’t be together because of their work schedules. Blake performed at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles on Saturday night, while Gwen Stefani was in Charlotte, North Carolina for another leg of her “This Is What the Truth Feels Like” tour. However, Gwen and Blake used social media to stay in touch while they were over 2,000 miles apart on opposite sides of the country.

Blake Shelton mentioned Gwen Stefani during a Twitter conversation with his fans about the importance of keeping the contents of his phone protected with a password. Blake revealed that he’s not a very tech-savvy guy by admitting that he has no idea how Snapchat works and doesn’t understand why his phone needs a password.

“I can’t even remember my password!! Why do I even need a damn password?!!! It’s MY phone!!!” Blake tweeted.

One of Blake’s fans helpfully pointed out that having a password protects his private information from being accessed by phone thieves or hackers, but Blake swore that thieves can’t use his mobile device to rob him blind; all they’ll find on his phone are photos and music.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Gwen Stefani was taking one of those photos that Blake keeps on his phone when she snapped the makeup-free Instagram selfie below.

While Blake was tweeting his confusion about Snapchat and smartphone passwords, Gwen was trying to figure out how to watch him perform live in Paso Robles. Blake probably wasn’t much help because it’s highly likely that he doesn’t even know what Periscope is.

Gwen Stefani’s latest Twitter plea is reminiscent of how she reacted when she couldn’t be in the audience to watch Blake Shelton host the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards back in March. As Entertainment Tonight reports, Gwen was in Japan at the time, and took to social media to beg her fans to help her find a way to watch the show live.

During his latest tweet fest, Blake Shelton also talked politics. However, he didn’t mention Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Instead, the “Came Here to Forget” singer mused about the possibility of running for president himself. Blake does have a way with words, after all, and his platform would presumably include the promise of cold beer and sangria for everyone.

“Hell I might have had a shot this year!!!!” Blake tweeted in response to a fan who suggested that he should run for president someday.

Fans started letting the country singer know that they would vote for him, which got him thinking about who he would ask to join his administration. Shelton revealed that he would choose ACM Awards co-host Luke Bryan to serve as his vice president, and he would offer The Voice co-host Adam Levine a position that he might be rather reluctant to accept.

“Is it too late for me to run? I’ll make @LukeBryanOnline my VP and @adamlevine my b*tch…,” the “Came Here to Forget” singer quipped.

“I thought Adam was already your b*tch Blake???” one of his fans responded.

Blake Shelton agreed that this is indeed the case, but he wants Adam Levine to partake in an official swearing-in ceremony.

Blake Shelton hasn’t said whether he plans on voting for Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, or someone else, but he did share his feelings about this election season during a recent interview with Rolling Stone. Shelton agreed with Trump that political correctness has gotten out of hand, but he refused to say whether the Celebrity Apprentice host has earned his vote.

“The only thing that I’m going to tell you is I’m going to be real sad when it’s over with, because this is literally one of the most addictive, entertaining things I have seen in my life. It’s amazing what we’re seeing right now,” Blake said of the presidential race.

Gwen Stefani also doesn’t talk politics much. However, according to the Hollywood Reporter, she hosted a “family day” fundraiser for Barack Obama at her home in 2012. The event was attended by Michelle Obama.
