Selena Gomez Defends Taylor Swift On Twitter? Kim Kardashian Exposed Taylor On Snapchat

After Kim Kardashian leaked the conversation between Kanye West and Taylor Swift, twitter reacted to the news with #KimExposedTaylorParty and so did Selena Gomez.

This feud is all over Kanye West’s song “Famous” from his latest album The Life of Pablo. Kanye asked Taylor Swift for permission to include her name in the song and the leaked audio from Kim’s Snapchat suggest that Taylor Swift agreed and appreciated Yezey making the phone call.

Selena Gomez is close friends with Taylor Swift.

In the transcript, which is fully transcribed by The Fader, Kanye tells Taylor the “feel like me and Taylor might still have sex,” line from “Famous.” He says that he thinks it will be a “cool thing to have” and Taylor agrees stating that it’s kind of a compliment. Then the following exchange takes place during the chat:

Kanye West states:

“I want things that make you feel good. I don’t wanna do rap that makes people feel bad.”

Taylor Swift replies:

“Um, ya. I mean, go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it, that’s really nice!”

Taylor Swift then takes to Instagram to state that she did not know she was being recorded and it was the “bit**” line that followed that she took issue with. She captioned the post: “That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet.”

Taylor also claimed she never heard the song and thus could not have approved it. Taylor also accused Kanye and Kim of character assassination for portraying her as a liar. On the other hand, Kimye seemingly felt that the phone call was courtesy enough.

Selena Gomez was quickly attacked on Twitter for defending Taylor when she stated that “There are more important things to talk about” in one of her tweets.

Selena Gomez has not spoken about the Black Lives Matters protest, attacks on police or issues of police brutality. Fans were quick to realize this and attack the singer for her silence:

Fans also attacked Taylor for making several break-up songs that are thinly veiled attacks on her exes such as Harry Styles and John Mayer. Many fans felt that Taylor Swift’s reaction to the Kanye West song “Famous” was hypocritical.

Taylor Swift’s song “Dear John” is believed to be directly aimed at John Mayer using only his first name. Kanye fans defended him because he also only used Taylor’s first name on his song “Famous.”

American actress Chloe Moretz also weighed in on the Kim Kardashian/Taylor Swift feud by echoing Selena Gomez comments about more important issues facing the world: “Everyone in this industry needs to get their heads out a hole and look around to realize what’s ACTUALLY happening in the REAL world,” Moretz tweeted.

Moretz has had a feud with Kim Kardashian previously about nudity and Kim attacked her on Twitter for her criticism.

Chloe concluded that the feud is “petulant and unimportant” in another tweet.

When questioned why she has not spoken about police brutality and Black Lives Matters, Gomez responded “oh lol so that means if I hashtag something I save lives? No -I could give two fucks about ‘sides’. You don’t know what I do”

Whether Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift end the feud is yet to be determined. It is likely that they will run into each other at an award show or similar event. Whose side are you on? Do you feel that the Kanye West “Famous” lyrics is unimportant? Leave your comments below.
