Britney Spears To Drop New Songs ‘Make Me (Oooh)’ & ‘Private Show’ This Week?

Is Britney Spears preparing to drop new music?

After months of speculation about when Britney will release the lead single from her upcoming as-yet-untitled ninth studio album, new sources are claiming that Spears could be dropping new music as early as July 15.

Despite numerous reports claiming that Spears’ lead single will be titled “Make Me (Oooh),” Canada’s 91.7 The Bounce is now reporting that the song “Private Show” could be the first hit to drop from Spears’ much-anticipated ninth studio album.

According to the site, Spears is set to drop “Private Show” on July 15, as 91.7 The Bounce teased on July 14 that “the official song and video will be dropped TONIGHT at 10pm!!!”

Although Britney has yet to confirm the rumors, Spears has been teasing “Private Show” for the past few days, even dropping a teaser video of the track on her various social media accounts to promote her new fragrance of the same name.

Spears debuted a one-minute long tease of the song with Entertainment Tonight this week, and she also dished on the song in an interview with E! News last month.

Describing the track as being “really cool,” Britney previously told the site that she just “clicked” with the song’s writer, Carla Marie Williams.

“I had a really, really cool song that I worked with on my album and the girl was amazing,” Spears told the site of “Private Show” before teasing the song and possible music video this week.

“She came in and she’s like a wailer. She has really big vocal chops. I was like, ‘Let’s do something different’ and do a really, really cool song for the fragrance,” Britney revealed. “It just made sense, and it was called ‘Private Show.'”

While 91.7 The Bounce is alleging that Britney will be dropping “Private Show” first, Britney previously told E! News that she was working on the music video for the song “Make Me (Oooh),” which has long been rumored to be the lead single from Spears’ upcoming ninth studio album.

Back in June, the site confirmed that “Make Me (Oooh)” was set to be the album’s first single, revealing that the track was a collaboration with rapper G-Eazy and was set for a July release with Spears’ album coming “in the fall.”

“It’s very exciting,” Britney told E! News of the song in June. “I’ve been working on this project for a year and a half now, almost two years so it really means a lot to me. It’s my baby.”

However, Spears’ fans are still yet to receive an official release date for either “Make Me (Oooh)” or “Private Show,” despite the Daily Star previously alleging that Spears and her team would be dropping “Make Me (Oooh)” on July 15.

A number of fans have taken to social media to speculate about the track’s official release date, with many pleading to drop the song and its music video after Breathe Heavy reported that screenshots and clips from the song’s music video had already begun to leak online this week.

“Can you just confirm the release date for Make Me (Oooh) already @britneyspears,” Britney fan @SelenaSpears24 tweeted out to Britney on July 14.

“For real Britney’s team HAS to release Make Me as soon as possible (Friday 15th),” @MakeOooh added on the social media site.

“Please Britney, release ‘Make Me Oooh’ this Friday so I can get drunk to it all weekend,” @ItsRicB**** tweeted, and @BSPEARSUK wrote on the 140-character site, “RELEASE MAKE ME ALREADY!”
