Gigi Hadid And Zayn Malik Are All Smiles In NYC Following His Anxiety Reveal

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik temporarily broke up just last month, but already, the pair is back on and making their affections for one another quite clear.

As the latest round of Gigi Hadid photos has hit the web, courtesy of Vogue magazine, the 21-year-old model and her singer boyfriend have been spotted looking as happy as can be in New York City.

“Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik looked far from a couple on the rocks as they stepped out in New York yesterday,” the Mirror revealed to readers on July 14. “The besotted couple had coy smiles on their faces as they emerged from Gigi’s apartment building in the Big Apple where they’ve been staying for the last few weeks.”

Hours later, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were spotted for a second time as they ventured out into the city for a dinner date. According to a report by Just Jared, Gigi Hadid spent time with her mother, Yolanda Foster, in the early hours of the day before meeting with her boyfriend.

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik parted ways in early June after weeks of on and off, but just a short time later, amid rumors of Hadid’s desire to rekindle their romance, they were confirmed to be back on.

“Things are back to normal with them,” a source close to Malik told E! News earlier this month. “They got through a rough patch that Zayn was facing personally and it started to put a dark cloud on their relationship. [Gigi Hadid] was there for him when he needed her the most and that brought them closer than ever.”

The “rough patch” mentioned by the source was Malik’s recent acknowledgment of his struggles with anxiety, which led him to cancel one of his scheduled performances in the U.K. last month.

“They have been spending some alone time together lately without the media seeing them,” the source added. “Zayn is feeling better with the help of [Gigi Hadid] and many other close people in his life. It’s a work in progress for him.”

At the time of Malik’s concert cancellation, Gigi Hadid was with the singer in London and after he announces his struggles to fans, she showed her support for her boyfriend with a heartfelt message on Twitter. In her message, Gigi Hadid applauded the singer for being upfront with his fans and told him she loved him.

“We are all here to support you and make each experience easier,” she wrote in her message. “Your talent and good heart will never lead you wrong.”

Following Malik’s decision to cancel his show, he “opened up to Gigi about his anxiety the past few weeks,” according to the source.

“[Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik] have been through a lot these past few months, but they are really trying to communicate better going forward,” E! News‘ source explained. “Zayn really appreciates Gigi even more after this because he sees how much Gigi is there for him.”

Gigi Hadid’s relationship with Malik began at the end of last year just weeks after the model parted ways with her former boyfriend, Joe Jonas, and in April, their troubles appeared to begin. Luckily, however, Gigi Hadid and Malik appear to have gotten through their rough patch and judging by their latest photos, some of which have been shared on social media, they couldn’t be happier to be back together.
