Taylor Swift: Most Famous Feuds, From Justin Bieber To Kim Kardashian
Taylor Swift has increasingly become famed for feuding with other celebrities, ranging from Justin Bieber to Kim Kardashian. And although it’s her battle with her ex, Calvin Harris, and singer Katy Perry that’s currently earning attention, Swift has a long history of showing that when it comes to feuding, she’s the pop princess, pointed out People.
John Mayer is one star who learned that lesson, mocking his relationship with his former girlfriend last year.
“You can see me at the Grammy Awards doing what I do best,” joked Mayer. “Being avoided by Taylor Swift.”
“Because I didn’t deserve it. I’m pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that,” Mayer defended himself.
“It was a really lousy thing for her to do.”
John didn’t sit back and feel “terrible” for long, however. “Paper Doll” is assumed to be his response.
“You paint me a blue sky and go back and turn it to rain,” reads a line from “Dear John.”
“Someone’s gonna paint you another sky,” proclaims some of Mayer’s lyrics that presumably retaliate.
Kanye West is another member of the “Shake It Off” singer’s unofficial feud club. He earned membership by interrupting her at the 2009 MTV VMAs when she was trying to make her Best Female Video acceptance speech.
“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why, I made that b***h famous,” rapped Kanye.
When it comes to warning off other celebrities about the risks of feuding with Swift, Diplo deserves a prize. His feud with the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer began with a tweet in 2014.
“Someone should make a kickstarted to get taylor swift a booty,” posted Diplo.
Although his followers liked the tweet, even crafting a “Get Taylor Swift a Booty” fundraiser, members of her girl squad slammed Diplo.
“@diplo we should do something about your tiny penis while we’re at it hm,” tweeted Lorde.
The backlash caused Diplo to admit that feuding with Swift ranks as “one of the biggest mistakes” in his professional career.
“All I know is don’t ever get into a feud with Taylor Swift,” warned Diplo.
“She has like 50 million people that will die for her. You can’t step into that arena. That was something I was never prepared for.”
But that hasn’t stopped others, including Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian, noted the Mirror. Concerned that her best friend Selena Gomez had suffered heartbreak in her off-again, on-again relationship with Justin, Taylor has feuded with Bieber for years.
Swift feels that Justin treated Selena badly, getting angry every time Bieber and Gomez rekindled their romance.
“Taylor hates him. She thinks Selena makes a mistake every time she reconciles with him. Bieber has really come between the girls,” revealed an insider cited by the Mirror.
When it comes to Kim, Kardashian is Team Kanye, which has motivated her to develop her own feud with Swift. Kim slammed the singer’s claims that she did not know about those infamous lyrics in West’s “Famous” track, accusing her of “playing the victim.”
The singer’s spokesperson clapped back at Kardashian.
“Taylor does not hold anything against Kim Kardashian as she recognizes the pressure Kim must be under and that she is only repeating what she has been told by Kanye West. However, that does not change the fact that much of what Kim is saying is incorrect.”
But it doesn’t end there with regard to Kim. Radar Online reports that Kardashian just one-upped the “Blank Space” singer by getting the cover of Forbes 2016 Top 100 Celebrity Earners issue.
Although Kim was in 42nd place, not first place (which went to Taylor), Kardashian stole the spotlight.
“What Kim wants, Kim gets,” a Kardashian insider revealed to Radar.
Even though Swift desired the cover and was expecting it, the insider revealed the editors gave it to Kardashian, requiring her to agree to keep it a secret.
“The Kardashians all knew Kim was going to get it and they are so happy. None of them can stand Taylor,” added the insider.
