Kelly Dodd Says Her Anxiety Doubled When Spending Time With ‘RHOC’ Ladies

Kelly Dodd may be brand new to The Real Housewives of Orange County, but she isn’t going in completely blind. Kelly is a friend of Meghan King Edmonds, who has been on the show for about a year. Meghan didn’t think twice when Kelly joined the show, because the Kelly she knows may be able to carry herself in groups where she doesn’t know anyone. However, when Dodd learned that Meghan wouldn’t be joining her for dinner when she met up with the other ladies, she started feeling severe anxiety.

According to a new Bravo report, Kelly Dodd is now revealing that she was nervous about going out for dinner with the Real Housewives of Orange County ladies, as things hadn’t exactly gone well last time they were all together. Dodd is referring to the day when all of the ladies gathered at Meghan King Edmonds’ home to demolish her kitchen. During that demolition, Kelly had touched upon some sensitive issues in regards to Tamra Judge’s custody battle, and she had even opened up about her own divorce drama with her husband, Michael. According to Blasting News, Dodd’s marriage has been a tricky one.

“When Tamra invited me to dinner with the ladies, I was a little nervous based upon my experience with them at Meghan’s home. So, when I found out Meghan wasn’t feeling well enough to be there, my anxiety doubled. Yikes! But, to my surprise, it turned out I was worried about nothing. It was actually a fun evening, despite the fact that Heather and I were both feeling under the weather. Thank goodness for tequila — the Mexican elixir. I guess Shannon has never heard of a hot totty,” Kelly Dodd reveals in her blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County.

To try and mend the friendships in the group, Kelly decided to invite everyone to a beach party. As it turns out, it was quite the experience and Kelly knew that the ladies had tension with Vicki Gunvalson. And Dodd does point out that her beach party was split in two. The first part was very fun and entertaining, as they were all running around on the beach together. The second part, which will air next week on The Real Housewives of Orange County, does show Vicki fighting and yelling with Shannon Beador.

“As usual, Vicki’s arrival elicited some snarky comments and more than a little tension. In fact, it didn’t take long for Tamra to corner Vicki and beat her with the ‘you lied’ drum,” Kelly Dodd points out in her blog for the show.

Since Kelly and Meghan were friends before she joined the show, Dodd did feel Meghan’s pain when she was giving herself the shots for her IVF treatments. Edmonds really wants a child with her husband, Jimmy Edmonds, but he didn’t want any more children prior to meeting Meghan. They had to go to get his frozen sperm out of the freezer, so they could start the IVF process. Sadly, Edmonds is scared of needles and she wasn’t happy about this whole thing.

“Meghan’s home video for Jimmy was cute and endearing. I am proud of her for overcoming her fears and giving herself the first IVF shot at home. I wasn’t brave enough to do that myself. Thank goodness Michael was there to give me every shot,” Kelly Dodd writes in her blog, sharing that she had gone through the same IVF process to get her own daughter.
