Last week’s episode of Pretty Little Liars brought a death that everyone was waiting for. The question now is how the Liars will find out the truth about a certain character’s true nature and whether it will mean the reprise of a certain other role.
If you read past this point, there are spoilers. You have been warned if you aren’t caught up with Pretty Little Liars Season 7 yet.
It will lead to the Liars turning to Toby for help. They want him to help dispose of the body, as well as find out his secrets. There’s still so little known about him, including his full connection to Charlotte DiLaurentis/Cece Drake. How will they find out about him if Toby isn’t willing to help?
Design & Trend reports that Toby helping Spencer will put his relationship with Yvonne in danger. There have already been discussions between Yvonne and Spencer, as Spencer always asks her ex for help. The Pretty Little Liars Season 6 finale showed the potential for Toby and Spencer to get back together, as he chose his ex over his girlfriend then. The current previews of this week’s episode shows Toby once again putting off time with Yvonne in favor of helping to bring up the details of Elliot.
There are also speculations that Elliot’s early death will mean the return of another Pretty Little Liars character. Many fans have speculated for years that Wren is somehow involved in A. Is it possible that he is Uber A and now knows all about Elliot’s death? With Elliot actually being British, it is possible that he met Wren at some point and is even connected to him in some way. Maybe Wren introduced Elliot to Cece.
Pretty Little Liars Season 7 has been a much faster pace than the seasons before. Most fans would not have expected Elliot’s death so soon, as there is still so much to be shared about him. It has left so many questions, including how his full connection to Charlotte and Mary Drake will be revealed.
The preview for the episode hasn’t given much away about the character. It just shows Toby trying to piece everything together in an order that makes sense. Not all the information is expected to be released in this week’s episode. It is likely that bits and pieces will be shared, making the rest of this storyline a slow burn compared to all the rest of the storylines being set up. There are just so many angles to explore.
That doesn’t mean Season 7 will be drawn out. Marlene King has already confirmed that Pretty Little Liars Season 7 will have something shared about the mysteries set up in Season 6 every episode.
Pretty Little Liars Season 7 continues with Hit and Run, Run, Run on Tuesday, July 12, on Freeform at 8 p.m.
